Overall very disappointed in the property with regards facilities, pricing, communication and management. We chose this upscale hotel for its appearance on the website and it’s pool. However after check in we come to find that the pool was closed for renovations but nothing was mentioned on the hotel website not with Expedia. Then the lights and phone were not functioning so were moved to another room. The WiFi never worked anywhere in the hotel. The lighting/ac control system was archaic and highly impractical. Press the button for “desk” and the TV shuts off and so does the lights in the bathroom. Asked to see the duty manager at the reception and after about 8 minutes he came slowly strolling through the front doors, hands in pockets.... walked right past me without greeting me and spoke with the receptionist. I presume he had been out for a stroll in the street... No sense of urgency or hospitality. Informed me I had to wait for management meeting in the morning to decide whether they could upgrade/refund/discount our 3 night stay. Next day I was told by a supervisor that we would get a 20% discount. You would think that a manager would come take care of this multi faceted situation but apparently we were not considered important Still No apology... Bar drinks were overpriced compared to other 3 and 4 star hotels I have stayed in in Davao. Menu was lengthy and food was very outdated, poorly prepared and presented and lacked any taste.

Seems like the hotel has been trapped from the past. It must have been grand and regal many years ago. Used the restroom at the lobby and was welcomed by 2 small roaches. The bedroom and its amenities looks very tired and worn already. Breakfast buffet is included in the room rate but nothing really special.

Phone, Electronic key and lights are not working. They advised to be seen by engineering team. But we opted to sleep instead to wait engineering team because were totally exhausted already. Aircon must have control inside the room so we cant off it anytime for convenience. Provide bidet/sprinkler water for toilet purposes. Breakfast buffet was great. More choices of foods.
