Thanks for viewing our listing; one of many properties professionally managed by JonBie Maisons on Daufuskie Island.

First thing to note when planning a trip to Daufuskie Island is there is NO Bridge. To reach Daufuskie Island you must book a ferry, water taxi or come by your own boat. Once on the island you’ll need grounds transport from your arrival dock to your JonBie Maisons vacation home. JonBie Maisons has options listed for both ferry/water taxi and transport providers and will be happy to make recommendations based on your travel arrangements.

This premium cottage has it all. Situated on the ocean-front row of Daufuskie’s beautiful Avenue of Oaks, JonBie Maison Cottage guests will look to the Atlantic Ocean beach from the screened-in front porch. The cottage has a wonderful location, and cottage guests will be just steps away from the pristine Melrose Beach

The interior of the cottage is open and spacious living/dining/kitchen area that is great for family and friend time. The cottage includes roku enabled flat screen TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. WIFI is Free during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with service for 8 or more with full size stainless steel appliances, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and a stocked Coffee/Tea Bar, making meal preparation easy for you and your family throughout your stay - even Holidays! Meals can be enjoyed in the dining area or screened porch.

A laundry room with full size washer and dryer is also available to make island life more convenient and comfortable; and there is a high chair and pack & play for your infant and toddler needs.

A golf cart is also included with your booking and additional golf carts are available at discounted rate. Information for reserving additional carts will be provided at booking GAS CARTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT ALL JONBIE COTTAGES & VILLAS and Carts are NOT to be used for hauling luggage, coolers, groceries, etc.

June & July reservations require minimum 7 day stay.

It was quiet and serene. Everyone on the island whether visitor or local were so nice and helpful. We have never stayed where you walk off your screened in porch, under the loblolly pines, cross a patch of grass and come out on the beach. It was great for our dog and easy on us. Loved it!

Absolutely amazing!

This was the perfect vacation spot for my birthday weekend getaway! Great communication leading up to the trip and even day of check-in, super clean cottage in the BEST location. We were right on the beach and it was beautiful. The pool was a 2 min walk and it was amazing. We will definitely be back asap.

A wonderful family trip!

This was out first time visit Daufuskie Island and it was everything described. Beautiful, peaceful and a great experience! Our beach house was perfect and had everything we needed. We hope to be back, next year!

You must visit and stay

The house and experience of the property was so good that my family is already planning our next trip. The host had everything you could need on a location that is quasi-remote. If you want a place to slow down; have the things you need, want and did not even know you wanted, then you must stay here.

Great getaway

We were not really sure what to expect in our first trip to the island. Our hosts were very helpful with all of their knowledge to help us get acclimated- there wasn’t a single thing they suggested that wasn’t great. Quiet Beach House / Neighborhood

We had a great visit and truly enjoyed the quiet neighborhood of Melrose. The 2 bedrooms were laid out perfectly for the four of us. All the amenities we needed were available. We were impressed with how little sound could be heard between the adjacent bathrooms. The beachfront location was perfect for watching the waves while drinking morning coffee, or taking frequent walks on the beach. Kurt and Tammy were very helpful and we would highly recommend them and any of their homes in their portfolio.

Beach front stay

This place is amazing. It was just my wife, myself and my dog (60lb GSP) and we loved it here. The beach is directly in front of the house just over the dunes. We never saw more than 3 people on the entire beach the entire week we were there. We cooked and grilled every night, and the kitchen is well stocked for anything you would need! They do provide food and water bowls for the dogs but the dog bed provided is very small! Something to keep in mind if you’re bringing a larger dog. This was a fantastic place to stay and we are already planning out return

A beautiful oceanfront getaway

Modern updates and beautiful views in this quiet community! Enjoy the sounds of the water and the views of deer and birds, or escape to the comfy interior with lots of space for "only" a two-bedroom duplex. A well-appointed kitchen and game cabinets keep you occupied on rainy days. The JonBie management team kept us well-informed and helped with many of the logistics reminders that are unique to Dafuskie. We'll definitely look for JonBie properties when we return next time!

Perfect Location

It was our first time on Daufuskie and we couldn’t have picked a better cottage for our stay! The cottage was clean, well stocked and a perfect location for easy beach access. This section of beach is perfect for younger kids - great swimming and sand! Our daughter loved having toys to use and a bike she could cruise around on. Tammy and Kurt have thought of everything! Check-in is personal - which was appreciated but unfortunately we were not mentally prepared for. We were dripping in sweat and distracted by our dog who wanted to go out and a 5yo who had been cooped up in a car/ferry for over 5 hours. Probably would’ve benefited from a buffer of time to transition to island vibes. Regardless, Kurt had great local knowledge to share from what I was able to retain and their guide book is very helpful. Golf cart ran well and is an absolute must for those staying on the island. Overall was a fantastic experience and we look forward to returning next year!

Just What We Needed!

JonBie's beach house on Daufuski was just the vacation we needed! My husband and two teenage daughters and our dog met up with my parents and their dog for four nights. We used the information JonBie provided in order to make reservations at Bull River Marina and Daufuski Island Transit. Both companies were incredibly easy to work with- responsive, friendly and on time. The beach house was beautiful and clean with every amenity on hand: cofee grinder? Check! Hair dryer? Check! SUP? Check! Golf cart? Check! We took advantage of all of it, and spent our days cruising the island in the cart, letting our dogs romp on the beach and enjoying family dinners in the evening. Kurt was helpful and laid back and helped orient us to the island life. We all enjoyed this special family time and would definitely stay here again!

Unfortunately disappointing

We had numerous issues with this stay and left early. The units bathrooms and bedrooms were very nice and clean. The coffee maker was very old and dirty and should be replaced. The golf cart offered to us to use was dirty, had garbage in the back and all the seats were circled with mold. We lost heat the second night and the unit went down to 58 degrees, as well the fireplace didn’t work. The biggest issue is that Daufuskie Island is apparently in disrepair. The resort area where we were staying is bankrupt and actually boarded up. The beach club, restaurants and many restaurants on the island were either closed or had very limited hours and none of this information was given to us. As of this posting, the owner has not contacted us or made any inquiries as to our satisfaction. I would not recommend this property or the island until it is restored and fully functional again. Our loss I guess? I will say the the on site gentleman was responsive, we did get the heat back on, I do want to make that clear.

We LOVED our stay here! We brought our two mini-poodles and they had a blast sitting in the screened porch area. The house was wonderful, close to the beach and exactly advertised. We can’t wait to come back next year!
