The property is beautiful and every bit as peaceful and serene as the ad implies. Just a short drive away from good food and great fishing. I would definitely book this cabin again and i hope to soon.
This was my second time with an extended stay in the chalet. Everything was just as it was the first time. It continues to be a perfect location to stay while in town for work.
We had a wonderful weekend to escape the demands of life. The smell of pine wood as we entered was a treat to our senses. The secluded time away was just what we needed! Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!
Very nice property. We enjoyed the peacefulness and the cozy, clean cabin. Everything we could have needed was provided. Our host was great. The river is not really visible during summer and is difficult to get to. However, there are many great places nearby to launch boats, watch boats on the river, learn the history of the area and see the bay. Thank you for a wonderful time.
Overall the experience was enjoyable and relaxing. A little disappointed that one of the amenities listed was a tennis court on property but are not allowed access since they are using it as a passageway for the cattle. This is fine but take off the tennis courts as an amenity. I was looking forward to playing on it with my husband. The cabin itself is very clean and beautifully decorated. It is in a perfect location for trail hiking and sightseeing. It is equipped with everything you would need for your stay. Side note: I do not like spiders and the area is full of them; cobwebs in the cabin as well. To be expected being in the woods I guess. And had a great big friend greeting me in the shower! 😳
We fell in love with the cabin and property. It was so peaceful. The canopy of trees is magnificent.
The areas that you drive thru from the dam, are gorgeous as well. Not sure that I want to mow all of those hills though! The dam was quite the experience, never being around a dam before. When the siren sounds, MOVE! They mean business.
Overall, we had a great 4 day visit.

Although the listing stated "limited wi-fi"k, it should state NONE! I was unable to connect to wi-fi, watch tv, connect to my laptop and I could not make phone calls. NO OUTSIDE COMMUNICATION AT ALL! Left 2 Days early.
This adorable little cabin was nestled deep in the trees, down a gravel road within sight of the Susquehanna River. Cozy and well stocked, it was perfect for the two of us. More than 2 would have been crowded. There is an outside firing with low wattage lights strung along the perimeter for safety and ambiance. This is on a 65 acre property where the owners live on site and cabin is down the gravel road, past the big house. one of the best surprises for me as a rock hound, it sits on the edge of an small old quartz quarry and gorgeous rock is all around the vicinity. Hostess was friendly and attentive. TV was streaming services only so you had to sign in/out of your own accounts which was a first for us traveling. Very enjoyable.

Overall a good experience.
What's good: the location (in the middle of a beautiful forest, though not as close to the river as I thought)), options for hiking, the very comfortable recliner sofa, the little presents (donuts, popcorn), the pressure in the shower, the cute decor, and the fact that there was a wash machine and dryer.
What's not so good: the floor and the silverware were not very clean, the bed was squeaky, and there was no remote control for the A/C that we could find. In addition, on Sunday, there was a bunch of off-road motorcycles and quads driving in front and around the cabin, which was very noisy, though I don't know if that is a one-time thing or if it happens every Sunday.
This is a beautiful location. Very private. Great hiking. Quiet. Right on the River. Its a short walk or hike but you can definitely see the river from the property. We are definitely coming back.
Tranquil and beautiful location and accommodations! Great place to get back to nature and reset! Thanks John and Stacey for sharing such a great piece of heaven!
This cozy little cabin was just perfect for our getaway. It is a tiny place but extremely comfortable. The views are breathtaking, lovely nearby historic walking trails, and the owner/staff were just amazing and as friendly and helpful as you could possibly ask for. I highly recommend arriving in daylight and be forewarned that cookware is limited so if you have specific needs, I'd ask first or plan on bringing it. Again, a lovely place that we fully hope to return to.
This was a perfect getaway location, quiet and tucked away in the woods. It was exactly what we needed and the home was so cozy. The little touches like s'mores ingredients were so thoughtful! We enjoyed cooking dinner on the fire, hiking the trail, and curling up with a book on the super comfy couches. We would love to come again!
Aside from using an app that couldn’t find the place, this little getaway was perfect and very relaxing. The host met me at the driveway when the GPS failed me. He led us right to the property and then gave us a little more insight about how to access the river and other amenities on the property. The place had everything from snacks, condiments, towels, soap, a fan, fire pit and a lot more. Definitely going to make it back here for another quick trip soon.
The house was IN the woods. I was surprised. The road to the house was private and gravel. Deep drop from the road on one side, so if you're not adventurous, it will be a challenge. But it wasn't bad for me. The serenity was second to none. Communication with owners and manager was awesome. The cabin was very nice. Very conduits
What a perfect place to stay for my time in the area. Remote, quiet, perfectly apointed home away from home. Loved it. Highly recommended and the property has so much to offer. The hosts were gracious and generous
If you like the outdoors this is the place for you! We had the pleasure of being the first people to stay at this property and we had a wonderful time. The owner John was so sweet and accommodating. The chalet is very charming and the views are stunning. We saw lots of wildlife, went hiking and even went down to the river for a little. Our favorite part was the babbling brook behind the house, this was so relaxing. We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay!
