"Drug dealers stayed in the room across the hall from us. People were in and out of their room all night. They were slamming the door nonstop and cussing in the hallway and smoking marijuana. We checked out after the first night. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but had to leave after just one night. Bad experience. Front desk assistant told me he was going to notify Expedia that we were leaving after one night. Thanks"
"I did not think anything was unique. The bed slept really well and in general the room was clean.
This property was reported as a 2 1/2-3 star hotel which it absolutely wasn't. At best it would be a 2 star hotel. Shower head was not well affixed the wall. Reading lamp had a shortage. Microwave was difficult to operate. Tub was scratched and old. The location of the hotel was a bit sketchy. I would not stay here again."
"For a Kimpton I was disappointed. The hotel just seemed to be not sparking clean. In my room it took several days and a note from me to get robes that I assumed would be in the room upon arrival. When I left a note, the housecleaning brought 2 in and apologized.
The 1st day the housecleaning did not replenish my washcloths and left 1 wet one in the shower.
The staff at the front were very helpful and nice. Dinner was very good at Katherines."
"Great breakfast included simple hot foods; convenient access to main roads; bathroom was updated & had great water pressure; room, overall, needed some updating"
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Winston-Salem Downtown
8/10 Good
"Rooms are very clean; shower and bathroom were very clean also. Breakfast is what you need to start your day and the women working breakfast was very pleasant keep the food and coffee supplied. all the staff were very pleasant and helpful if in the area again this I will stay here. Parking not to bad garage is across the street but the street is not a busy one. Parking Garage drawback is spaces are very tight for large SUV or Pickup truck."
"The room was very musty and dated. The pillows were the worst. Overall we felt the room was overpriced for the quality present. The staff was nice and helpful."
"I did not check in arrived at night, there were two males with jackets and hoodies, both were near the entrance my elderly handicap mother and myself a 4’10 female weighs 117 lbs. I was afraid to park my car and help my mother out of the car. I didn ’t feel safe or comfortable enough to stay at that hotel. Sorry"
