Phenomenal Beachfront Retreat!
We stayed here for a few nights for out anniversary and it very much met expectations. The 3 bedroom unit was spacious and the views - especially of the sunset - were as advertised. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and drinks at night while watching seals, dolphins, pelicans, right from the back door. Everything for check in was straightforward - the property could've been a little cleaner, but it was adequate and had absolutely everything needed. I will say that the high tide comes up close so sometimes there was no beach to walk on; but it was absolutely stellar when the tide was lower to walk along the beach from the back door. So if you are expecting kids to always get to play in the sand, this might not work out that way. Would definitely stay in this unique place in a great location again!

Fantastic location
Perfect location on the beach. Easy access to highways and local restaurants. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of waves crashing and enjoying coffee on the patio with a perfect view.

Great location and view, check in was a pain
The property was very nice, the view of the ocean is great. It was a challenge getting the right form to per-registar my car, I finally got it, after multiple emails and phone calls and filled it out only to learn at the guard gate to get in, they hadn't received it. I called the number and it took about 20 minutes to get it worked out, so not a huge deal but frustrating. The nice lounge chairs from the photo weren't on the deck. The deck furniture could use some updating as to be more clean and comfortable. The stairs down to the ocean were a nice add that we weren't expecting. The unit inside was clean and nice, but could use more towels, PT, TP and kitchen linens.

Beautiful Location
This was the perfect location for a staycation with out of town guests. Unit was accurate to the pictures. Small issue with the check in for the guard gate but it was resolved in a timely manner. The lock on one of the sliding doors did not work and management responded with a lock to secure the door. Beach chairs that were at the unit were not in very good shape so we brought our own. Would definitely book again for an easy staycation!

Private and family friendly beach house
This beach house provides everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. I really like the privacy of having an ocean front house with a private beach access. I love the open layout of the house and its modern style. Having a private sand area for my kids made our stay more enjoyable. And there were plenty of sand toys and beach chairs. The house was clean when we arrived, kitchen was fully stocked and lots of towels was provided. Although , the lounge chair that was advertised was not on the deck. It would have been nice to have at least one because the iron chairs were not comfortable. But I appreciate the folding beach chairs that we ended up using. We would definitely come back. What a great beach house to watch the sunset and fall asleep listening to the crashing waves. Thank you for the a great experience and great memories. The Ruvalcaba Family"

Amazing Ocean View
We loved the large common area with sliding glass doors that literally had you just a few feet away from the waves of the sea with a sandy area right outside of the home to park beach chairs, build endless amounts of sand castles and bury treasures. Bathroom situation wasn’t ideal for 8 people since one of the two bathrooms was in the master and did not have a door for privacy. Definitely the entire home could have been a lot cleaner. Regardless, the beach made it worth while, we had a GREAT time!

Overall good experience, we were led to believe there was a parking spot for every bedroom, but that’s not the case with this unit. One shortcoming is the outdoor water has been isolated so there’s no way to rinse off your feet before going inside

This properties location is as good as it gets! We loved being able to walk out the back patio and be right on the beach. The home was well equipped and there was plenty of room for everyone. We will definitely be coming back!

The only thing going for this property is the view. You are affectively living in someone’s basement where the ceiling fans are on timers, the dishes are dirty, the bed is broken and wood slats are protruding out, the shower is either scolding hot or ice cold. The house has zero character or anything to make you feel like you’re in a beach house - Feels like a trailer with an ocean view. You’re better off camping at doheny than pretending you’re at a beach house.

Perfect Vacation
We really enjoyed the house. The beach access has changed quite a bit from the pictures and these should be updated. We like that the beach takes a little effort to get to as we have 3 littles ones and this made it seem safer having the kids playing in the sand out back. The house had everything we needed and was very nice and clean. We love the location and privacy. Will definitely stay again.

We really had an excellent time on the beach and just enjoying views from the main area of the house. Overall I would just say a few very minor things could use some attention. For instance, many beach toys were broken just toss them and provide less in my opinion. Some of the dishes were cracked and the electric wok was literally falling apart. The lights were challenging to figure out maybe a label maker would help? The vacuum spit sand and dust all over us in the first use so we swept the rest of the time. We only had 4 total rolls of TP for 6 people for a week, definitely bring some TP so you don’t find yourself without. Like I said before very minor “issues” if you can really call them that. Overall absolutely worth the money. There were great places to eat at the marina and down on the pier. Close to grocery without feeling like you’re in the middle of shopping space. Parking is much better than we have experienced in other locations we had plenty of room to get everyone in and out of cars. Trash was close by very easy access. Most gate attendants were very friendly and helpful. We had an excellent stay overall and thank you for the stay!

Feel the Ocean Breeze at Dana Pt.
We loved staying at this house right on the beach! The living, dining area was very spacious and comfortable and has a beautiful view of the ocean waves and Dana point. The kitchen is well stocked if you want to cook and everything was very clean. The bedrooms are normal size, aside from the master which has an on suite. I would say if you have 4 or more sharing the middle bathroom it might be pretty busy. It’s a great location with easy access to quaint Dana Point and Harbor. As well as other beach towns. The only downfall, there is NO easy way to get to the beach & water from the back deck of this home. The views fantastic but if you want to walk on the beach or sit by the water you have to navigate down over large boulders, which is not an easy feat and could be dangerous. Other homes have stairs going down to access it, not sure why this one does not. Aside from that we enjoyed our stay there very much!!

Adult Family getaway
This property is so close to the waves you can almost feel them from the patio. We absolutely loved the sound of the waves and enjoyed being right on the water. We saw dolphins, jet skiers, sailboats etc but the property is private so we enjoyed ocean life without the intrusion! We will be back and recommend it to a family friend. The sand is about 7’feet wide and then a rocky border that you would need to climb down in order to access the water. Access was the only thing missing. Otherwise this was an amazing place to stay and very close proximity to Dana Point harbor shopping and great places to eat!

The house is just like the pictures. It’s equipped with everything you need if you are planning to cook. The view of the ocean right out in the patio is amazing! The house felt clean when we arrived. We also felt secured the house it’s located in a private area. Totally worth it!

Paradise in Dana Point!

We had an incredible stay at this location. The view from the deck was spectacular. The owner has done a lot to maintain the beachfront immediately off the deck. Family definitely enjoyed playing on the sand with all of the available toys. House was clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again!!

House right on the beach.
Beautiful house on the beach. Pros for the house is the location , privacy and views . Cons is that if you are looking for a beach for your young kids to play on all day I wouldn’t recommend it. The house has its own beach off the deck but to walk to the ocean you must climb some rocks due to the erosion. So if someone has difficulty walking then this beach location is not for you. If you want to just view the ocean then this house is perfect .

Review
The cleaning crew ran late so we couldn’t check in on time and had to sit outside while they finished for almost an hour. There is an upstairs unit undergoing construction so there is noise very early in the morning which is very disruptive. Also the construction crew will park in your assigned space forcing you to track them down to move their vehicles. This is not good. The property itself is awesome with an incredible location and ambiance (except for the unfortunate construction overhead). The view is remarkable and very enjoyable while the house is spacious and comfortable. If the manager can manage the other distractions this place is really spectacular.

FALSE ADVERTISING, RENTER BEWARE
Property is not as described by pictures. Beach access is walking down a near shear wall of orange sand bags and huge jagged rocks. Tides during the day essentially close the beach to young children. PLEASE BEWARE THERE IS LITTLE TO NO NICE SAND AS IMAGES SHOW. Entire beach has been essentially destroyed by erosion. Six to eight feet of sand has been removed from in front of property leaving a rock/ sand beach. The big desire with this property is the ease of beach access with just optimal sand. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. I understand that the owner cannot control the ocean but images need to be changed to show true nature of beach access. It cannot be fixed and will be like this for the remainder of the homes life. To access the beach you have to precariously walk down sand bags that are laid out for hillside support not walking and do so without a handrail. PHOTOS OF BEACH ACCESS CAN BE SEEN BY GOING TO IMGUR AND TYPING IN pwKUWPU Home was as described. Cleaning was adequate but house needs a deep cleaning. Couches need to be replaced, the reclining aspect is broken in most of the seats. Barbecue is old but gets the job done. There was no firepit as shown when we arrived. Had to call multiple times and after two days an old one was brought. Some sinks drain extremely slow, and one toilet rocks like a rocking chair.

Home layout and view was nice but the couches were dirty had food on it, the home needs a deep cleaning. Location is on the beach but the pictures show you can walk straight on the beach which is false, you have to climb or walk a ways to get around huge rocks. I was a little upset because I would have chosen another home because I have a toddler and my goal was to go straight to the beach vs a hike around big rocks. The master bedroom smelled like mildew especially when we did laundry, for the amount I paid I expected a nicer/cleaner home. The bbq had issues so we couldnt use it, fire pit igniter didn’t work, my husband was able to fix it after an hour so should work now, overall I would have been ok if I paid Half the daily rate but for what we paid I would go with another home.

We enjoyed our stay at this beach house. There's some small things that can be done to this property that would greatly improve the overall experience staying here. First, there was not nearly enough towels/toilet paper stocked in the house for 5 people to stay for 5 days. This required me to have to wash towels frequently, and go to the store to buy toilet paper as there was only 4 rolls in the house when we arrived. When you pay for an expensive location/property, these things should be plentiful and should not require guests to be doing laundry and looking for toilet paper in every closet of the house. There were 2 rusty beach chairs at the house and both were broken. The umbrella outside was broken and someone actually wired it open so you couldn't put it down when it wasn't needed. We ended up removing the whole thing and set it off the deck into the sand. The pictures of the beach in no way reflect the current condition of the property as it is today. Having stayed in dozens of beach front homes, I understand that with the tides/weather, the sand will always change. However, in this case, no time has been taken to clean/rake/level the sand in front of the house, so it's a hill of crumbling rocks/sand that no elderly person could attempt with out assistance. The houses next door to us had a flat sand beach because those owners took the time to maintain it. This is an easy fix and should be done on at least a monthly basis, to ensure the beach area in front of the house (where guests spend most of their time) is clean and maintained. The parking situation is ridiculous, we brought 2 cars, and while the listing says "only 2 parking spaces allowed"- there are actually 6 full outside spaces for this house + garage space. In our case, no one was staying in the extra units, and the spaces sat empty. My elderly mom came down for a day to visit, and the guards at the gate would not allow her to park in the open outside spaces at the house, so she had to park in the filthy public lot and walk all the way to the property (I walked with her). During the winter especially, it's a no brainier to allow guests to utilize the excess parking at the house. This wasn't even an option and is extremely inconvenient. My suggestion is to shop around for properties in the area you want to stay in, and compare/contrast these kinds of details which will eliminate potential headaches during your vacation.

Perfect, quiet and serene getaway
We live in Hawaii so we have a different approach on what is important. We wanted a quiet, serene, no drama oceanfront home to share with our family during a bereavement visit for a sibling. This property was perfect for our needs. Since we live near the ocean we are familiar with typical salt air corrosion of any metals, which was apparent on this property as well. No surprises. It would have be nice to have a screen door slide more effortlessly, but it certainly was not a deal breaker. Same goes for the metal handle on the broom that snapped off while trying to minimize the sand on the deck. And the umbrella stand that was nearly frozen into place due to metal corrosion. These are all typical and did not detract from our stay. This property is secure and having this type of access was different for us, but not too restrictive. The gas fire in the sand was a nice feature. It took a while to figure it out in the dark but once we did we truly enjoyed sitting near the fire with a cocktail. We only ran out of hot water once, and that was when we needed to take 4 showers back2back. Once we knew, then we spaced our showering further apart. Watching the dolphin swim by on several occasions was pretty awesome. We recommend this home and would definitely stay here again. Mahalo from Maui : )

We loved our stay here. The location was great, the house was nicely kept. Kitchen well stalked. Photos of the house were very accurate, having 2 parking spaces were great, laundry was helpful. Sadly the photos of the beach are no longer accurate. Much of what is shown has washed away. We were still able to use the beach, and our kids had fun but stairs yo get down would have been helpful
