The friendliness of the owners, the general chat with the other guests, the food, the stunning location and weather. What a wonderful experience. Thank you
Very comfortable night stay whilst on a mountain biking weekend. Excellent breakfast & lovely bed! What more could you ask for! I think prices are a little lower than expected.
In the middle of nowhere but beautiful nature is this small B&B. Really nice interior, lovely citrus smells and calming yoga music. Felt like a small retreat. We were unaware of it being vegan, but all food was so delicious and homemade, and if we weren’t told, we probably wouldn’t have noticed. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Ran by lovely and friendly hosts, Susan and Gary, the property is tastefully decorated and situated in an iconic surrounding. We enjoyed the focus on sustainability and ethical sourcing which was apparent throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious and it felt very special to stay there considering that this place was built to facilitate the installation of the railway track and later on during the operation process. We also appreciated the seamless communication process upfront. We hope to come back soon.
This is a lovely property with friendly and attentive hosts. A great stay which was let down by a lot of dust in the bedroom and black body hair in the shower, otherwise we would have scored a 10
Garry and Susan are amazing hosts and the location of the Balsporran is simply beautiful and unique. We arrived by bike and their was a dedicated shed for them to be securely stored. Tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival made us feel really welcome. Despite being a B&B Garry and Susan also offer a simple hearty menu in the evening which is really convenient if you don't have a car to get to the next villages. Also great to have a lounge with plenty of reading matter for the evening. And the rooms, of course, cosy, clean and comfortable. A good chat with the hosts over the home-made and generous breakfast made it all the more a memorable stay.
Amazing! The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable and the Breakfast was delicious. We were welcomed with tea, coffee and shortbread and millionaires shortbread which was amazing! Would recommend and hope to stay again.
Great hospitality, Fionia & Geoff are super hosts, great snacks at very reasonable prices and a very comprehensive breakfast. Very GOOD value for the money.
The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and there are too many nice ‘extra touches’ to list. The location and the ambience of the property made for a very enjoyable stay with ready access to trails for walking and cycling.

Wonderful hospitality, beautifully appointed B&B. Nothing too much trouble and a real sense of a home from home. Highly recommended whether exploring the area for a few days or just passing through.
This was simply amazing experience. Such a warm, cosy and pleasant atmosphere. It was really nice to just sit on the lounge and chat with other visitors and the great hosts. Also the service definitely exceeded our expectations.
It was very nice to walk to the hills nearby.
If we are ever coming back to this area, we will definitely come to this B&B again. Big thanks and greetings from Finland to the nice hosts and the lovely dog!
I did not know that B&B:s like this exists. This is the best B&B ever and the customer care is overwhelming. You made our stay unforgettable, thank you Fiona & Jeff.
Fiona and Geoff are friendly, helpful and just great to chat to. I felt welcome straight away and loved sitting in the guest lounge meeting other guests. The rooms were overstocked for tea & coffee choices and the bed was super comfortable. Don’t be put off by its location, it’s only a short drive to Dalwhinnie and the trains don’t run at night. Another bonus is fantastic breakfast, you won’t leave hungry. I can’t wait to come back and stay again.
We wish we had ben able to stay longer at Balsporran B and B. Geoff and Fiona are wonderful hosts. Our stay started with a welcoming pot of tea in the cozy study . We elected to have dinner there. The venison sausage was delicious! The rooms are very comfortable . Breakfast was one of the best we have every had a B and B. Adding to the homey feel is their dog Oakley. Would highly recommend a stay at Balsporran B and B.
Lovely hosts, well appointed accommodations and delish breaky. All things needed for a great stay were We have another trip planned and already we're planning how we'll be inserting Balsporran in our itinerary.
The couple running this B & B make it a lovely place to stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable and breakfast is excellent with a superb choice offered. Certainly recommend it
