Loved the location! Hotel is very well set up. Restaurant and bar food was very good and lots of choices. Staff we wonderful, friendly and helpful. Loved the private beach too.

This was such a unique hotel. It's like a bost but not in super campy/cheesey way. You're right on the Atlantic ocean. The views are stunning. The food is great and so wonderful. Its in a part of town that is walkable to alot of other site.

Great location. Incredible view of the Atlantic Ocean. Friendly and nice staff. Great food at restaurant and bar. Only minor issues is the room. Balcony door didn't lock and tiolet seat was attached to toilet. But over all a good place for the money. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent hotel, beautiful location

Lagon 2 is an excellent hotel and one of the best choices in Dakar. The location on the water is very beautiful and the hotel is very comfortable, clean and the staff are all very gracious and helpful. The air conditioning works well and the room is spacious. The breakfast is very good with beautiful views to start your day. The Lagon 1 restaurant nearby is excellent with very good seafood. From the hotel, you can walk along the water into the town and then Independence Plaza. I recommend Lagon 2 if you want a high quality hotel but not to be removed from the local culture by being in a resort.

Terrible stay and left early due to cockroaches

Do not stay in this hotel. It claims to be a 4-star hotel and it is not. There are cockroaches in the rooms and the management knows as they leave spray to kill them. The property is extremely run down, old, and has none of the facilities it advertises. A complete rip off, stay away from this hotel.

L’hôtel possède un équipement ancien. Lors de mon séjour il m’ont installé à côté d’une chambre avec des travaux alors j’ai été réveillée à 09h jusqu’à mon départ par des bruits de perceuse et de marteau je vous laisse imaginer comment c’était horrible en plus de ça zéro excuses Nada !!! Plus jamais cet hôtel !

Du bon et du moins bon

Le véritable atout de l'hotel est une vue imprenable sur la mer et un calme absolu, que ça soit au niveau du bar qu'au niveau du resto. Il faut chaud au Sénégal, et le fait d'être dans une salle climatisée qui donne directement sur la mer est un atout indénaible. Pour moi, le meilleur spot de Dakar pour manger, travailler ou avoir un rdv. Par contre, les chambres sont vieillottes, ce pour plusierus raisons : - Infiltration d'eau en temps pluie - Eaux usagée qui s'écoule mal (toilette et salle de bain) - Mobilier qui se détériore Cela ne reflete pas du tout le bar et le restaurant. Donc : super spot pour un passage d'une journée. Par contre si vous cherchez le confort d'un hotel, investissez un peu plus pour aller au pullman à côté.

Effort à faire dans tous les domaines!

Si vous réservez une demi-pension, la limite de dépense pour le repas du soir est à15000 CFA /personne mais personne ne vous avertit: ni l'hotel ni hotels.com. Donc mauvaise surprise lors du check out! Lieu idyllique, bercé par les vagues mais peu entretenu, l'hôtel se dégrade. Il a fallu changer de chambre à 3 reprises pour trouver la bonne. La lunette des toilettes était pleine de gouttes d'urine dans la première (mais on nous a dit que c'était de la peinture!). Dans la 2e: cafards . Dans la salle de bain de la 3e l'eau (propre? sale? ) gouttait de manière importante du plafond de la salle de bain. La 4e chambre, dans la partie rénovée était la bonne: belle, confortable. Mais jamais un mot d'excuse. Petit déjeuner peu fourni et répétitif. Le personnel est peu motivé et ne vous propose rien: à vous de deviner ce qui est disponible (café, omelette..) Tables jamais mises correctement il manque toujours quelque chose. Le personnel prend sur une autre ce qui manque! En guise de serviette, on apporte une boite de kleenex et débrouillez-vous. Le restaurant du Lagon 2 est par contre très bon et le jeune homme sympathique et professionnel; c'est le seul! merci à lui. Pas testé l'autre restaurant (Lagon1) juste son bar, le lieu est magnifique. En résumé, demandez une chambre dans la partie rénovée; la demi-pension ne sert à rien ( la carte et les prix du restaurant sont les mêmes demi-pension ou pas) et testez le bar et/ou restaurant du Lagon 1.

En fait je connais cet hôtel depuis longtemps. Mais avec le Covid je n'y étais pas retourné depuis 3 ans. Honnêtement cet hôtel devrait être fermé car les prestations se sont considérablement dégradées et il est dans un état limite !!!! Surtout par rapport au fait d'afficher 4 étoiles ! J'ai eu de l'eau chaude pour la douche 1 fois sur 2. La chambre sentait vraiment pas bon et était humide La vieille clim (au moins 30 ans) ne fonctionnait plus Des détritus dans le couloir sans compter des groupes de gens qui occupaient cet espace en buvant (exagérément) de l'alcool. La petite salle de sport n'en a plus que le nom car les machines sont inutilisables Le petit déjeuner est vraiment très réduit en choix Et la veille de mon départ on me demande si mon séjour est terminé et que je ne vais pas quitter la chambre. En fait ils s'étaient trompés.

Toffe ligging aan de oceaan. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Niettegenstaande de kamers proper zijn, kunnen ze een opfris beurt gebruiken. Hier en daar eens terug een likje verf. Maar over het algemeen zeer aangenaam hotel.

Double Charged for My Stay

My stay at Hotel Lagon 2 was lovely, and the staff were terrific. The problem started when I got home, and I saw that I was charged twice for my stay. I was charged by Hotels.com and by Hotel Lagon 2. After MANY phone calls and emails (which included receipts) to Hotels.com, who in turn called Hotel Lagon 2, neither place would refund one of the charges. So either, Hotels.com never sent the money I paid to Hotel Lagon 2, or the more likely scenario, Hotel Lagon 2 was paid twice for my stay. My review would have been 100% great about my visit, but I've run out of options to correct this situation other than to leave this review. Please contact me. Thank you.

hotel tucked away with ocean view

hotel tucked away with beautiful view of the ocean and close to Gorée Island. This location is under same management as the nearby Lagon 1 which has the private beach and restaurant on the pier. Staff are very friendly.
