"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was very cosy and well equipped. The setting is stunning with beautiful countryside and a haven for wildlife. It was lovely to see the otter and so many different birds, the woodpeckers being our favourite. Angela and Shaun have obviously worked very hard to make this into a special place to come and stay. If you want some peace and quiet, this is the place to be. Sitting in the hot tub, overlooking the lake is a blissful way to enjoy a glass of wine...

"Absolutely loved our quick little get away. Lovely remote area and amazing for stars at night. The cottage was a good size even with a toddler running about. The welcome basket was a saving grace and loved the bara brith (ordered more to take home as gifts too). We went into Llandeilo which had not many but lovely shops and on one of our days drove for about an hour to get to folly Farm. It was nice and relaxed and the hot tub was so comfy. "Positives: Nice spacious and clean room. great set of toilleteries, in room robes. Fantastic views of the property, Hreat to take a short stroll or wander into the countryside. excellent breakfast. very helpful and friendly staff. Negatives: Really Outdated decor. Property not well maintained. Carpets not cleant and smelt musty. Even entrance door mat dirty. Lift did not work for 2 people and we were on the 2nd floor Beds too soft."

"Really comfy bed and room which was immaculate including a little note from housekeeping saying enjoy your stay! A lovely touch! Breakfast and my evening meal were absolutely delicious . All staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention to the chef (with the jack russell puppy) who made the most amazing breakfast! The shower was powerful and the toiletries provided were of great quality."

"There is no lift, this is an old, old property but what it lacks in lifts it excels in character, charm and friendliness. The food is amazing and attracts people from across the local area, so make sure you book dinner. The cocktails are delicious and the atmosphere so friendly and buzzing for a small town. Parking is secure and there is a loading bay outside to drop off suitcases, don’t park up and then bring down your cases unless you are extremely spritely. The room was so clean and spacious with a bath and shower! The towels were even fluffy! We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, the staff could not do enough to make sure our stay was relaxed. Thank you."

"Suite 2. Good location - next to a nice pub and another a couple of mins down the road. Good access to waterfalls and mountains. Rooms are nice, aircon, large tv, clean. Downsides - shower head was massive and came out so lightly, bed was slightly dipped in the middle and parking was all taken around our side. Staff lovely and the bacon baguettes for breakfast great."

"Perfectly fine for my needs, a one night stop over for cycling. Well situated for some excellent quite lanes, with tough climbs. The food the night before was tasty enough, and the beer was very well kept. Very friendly staff. I was even able to take a shower after my ride, even though it went beyond the check out time. Comfy bed. Shower was nice and warm, even though it was a bit leaky. Room was a bit tired, but like I said, I wasn't after 5 star, and for the price it was perfectly fine."
