This cabin is located within Valley Overlook, a private Lodging and Campground area surrounded by the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Travel just minutes to many trailheads for hiking and biking, or bring your kayak for a day on the river. Check out local restaurants in the historic village of Peninsula, just 4 miles to our north. Hop on your bike and take the Towpath Trail as far north as Cleveland or south to Akron. Enjoy local restaurants, breweries, farm markets and more!
We're a half-mile from the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail, great for biking to local destinations to the north and south. Free parking is available at many trailheads in the National Park. Street parking in the Village of Peninsula is paid via phone. Ride sharing availability can be limited, so we recommend planning your own transportation. Walking to Blossom Music Center is neither practical nor recommended. We use security cameras to monitor our driveway; there are no recording devices of any kind inside or pointed directly at any living space.
This cabin is self check-in with parking available on site.
If you are traveling with two vehicles, please park the second one in the large lot next to the office located in the large brick building. Maximum of 2 vehicles please.
Visitors and extra guests are not permitted without prior written approval.
No trailers or oversize vehicles without written approval before arrival.
The cabin will be ready any time after 4pm. We can sometimes coordinate an early check-in for a fee of $30. If you're interested in this option, please send a message with the time you hope to arrive, and we will let you know if we can accommodate this request.
On some evenings, concerts at our neighbor, Blossom Music Center may be audible. The farm across the street utilizes propane canons during the day for a few weeks out of the year to deter birds from eating their corn. Plan to bring a flashlight, as it can get dark in the woods! We use security cameras to monitor our driveway; there are no recording devices of any kind inside or pointed directly at any living space. Winter weather conditions may temporarily limit vehicle access.

Host was very responsive & even brought us heaters when we were a little cold! The place has the basics & was good for a 2 night stay. It was quiet too
We had a wonderful stay at this new cabin in the park. Idyllic setting in the woods and had all of the modern amenities you need for a relaxing vacation. Would love to stay again!
The cabin was like new inside and very clean. So convenient to get everywhere in Cuyahoga Valley NP!! Beds and pillows were very comfy. FYI - there was no shampoo in the bathrooms - just hand soap. Also in the kitchen - there is a coffee maker, but no coffee was supplied, so bring your own. Nice porch swing on the back deck.
Had a great stay at Valley Overlook cabin for 4.Very nice cabin in a peaceful campground setting.Clean and comfortable.Perfect spot for visiting Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Towpath trailhead and hiking trails are so close.Hope to return!!
This is our second time staying in the Valley Overlook Cabins and we absolutely love the location, amenities (grill, fire pit, great deck and interior layout), and kind and responsive management. We hope to be back soon!
Very well kept property in a beautiful setting. Because we booked late we ended up staying in 2 different cabins. Both were great with the 4 person deluxe certainly being the more deluxe.
We stayed in the deluxe 4-person cabin and it was wonderful. Both king masters had their own bath and the beds were very comfortable. The main living area was well laid out with plenty of comfortable seating. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We loved the back porch and fire pit area the most. The swing bed was a huge hit and we spent most of our time on the patio backing to peaceful woods. The campground staff were very friendly and kept the area very tidy. Will come back here again.
May family of four stayed here for a few days to explore the park and it was really fun. The cabin was nice and clean and I liked I could prepare meals and we all had our own space. There’s a trail nearby that goes to a lookout and other trails within the park are in short driving distance. We also went on the scenic railroad though the park to Akron and that was really fun too. The Cabo. Was the perfect place to come home to relax after long days exploring. We would stay here again!
We were happy to find a great little cabin to stay in on such short notice for a spur of the moment long weekend! The cabin was perfect for our family. When we were at the cabin and not out exploring we enjoyed sitting on the beautiful deck and having a fire in the firepit. We LOVED the porch swing!!! It was a great place to relax at all hours of the day. A perfect place to sit in the morning and birdwatch and listen to all the warblers and thrushes, take a nap in the afternoon, or read a good book at any time.
We explored many places in the National Park, including the Canal Exploration Center, the Boston Mill Visitor Center, the Beaver Marsh (our favorite!), Brandywine Falls, Ledges, and Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, and they were all within a 15 minute drive.
The kitchen came stocked with everything needed except kitchen towels.
Some of us are light sleepers and would have preferred blinds on all the windows including the small ones above the beds. That is a very minor thing though and we would definitely love to stay again!
Thank you for a lovely long weekend!
Comfortable, clean cabin in a lovely tucked away campground in the middle of a national park. It really doesn’t get better than that. We loved our stay.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this luxury cabin near Cuyahoga National Park. Comfortable beds. Super clean. Nicely furnished. Great back porch with rockers and a swing for reading and conversation. My suggestions: 1) provide some heavier blankets so guests don’t have to crank up the heat; the nights were cool, down in the high 40s, 2) wine glasses and a few extra glasses—didn’t seems to be enough for 4 people 3) an ottoman in the living room, 4) another end table near the two chairs—there is a tiny table shaped like an owl but it is not close enough to the chairs, and 5) kitchen towel and dishcloth—a bathroom hand towel was provided. Also, the freezer does not make ice, so bring your own. But really, this is a great place.
