We absolutely loved the cabin AND the fact that we could have our dogs with us. The cabin had everything we needed. Bathroom and kitchen were modern and the hot water was abundant. This is a terrific place to stay if you are visiting the Black Hills area.

We loved this place so much the first time we stayed here that we came back with our whole extended family. We love the catch and release pond and spent hours fishing. We also really enjoy being completely unplugged from our phones and devices since there is no wifi or cell service. The cabins are clean and the property managers are responsive. We also really appreciated the supplied firewood, charcoal grill, grilling utensils, and large fridge that allowed us to make all our meals at the cabin. These cabins are the perfect place to get away, unwind and reconnect with family in a beautiful, quiet setting that is still close enough to other black hills attractions. We can’t wait for our next annual trip!

We had an amazing time in this hidden gem! Stayed for 5 nights and it’s not too far from the placed we wanted to see in Custer and nearby attractions. The cabin is very cozy, the pictures are not updated as it was better when saw the place in person. We would definitely stay here again!

Great cabin just West of Custer. Clean and tidy. We enjoyed the fire pit one night and used the charcoal grill 2 nights. Cabin has limited TV channels but we really weren't there for that. I wish the cabins had internet access. Kinda of a bummer to have to drive towards Custer to get any signal. I would recommend these cabins. Great location and beautiful back yard.

These cabins are beautiful, so peaceful, able t watch deer in the evening! plenty of wood for fires at night. Cabins are beautiful, showers hot with plenty of towels, TV for those who need it, the only thing I would change is a small stove to cook breakfast on. The cabins were very clean had coffee maker, microwave, big refrigerator with a weber grill for grilling. Heaters worked great; beds comfy. We had a great time!!! Peaceful and viewing the stars at night was outstanding.

This quiet, small small property was exactly what we needed. You got to enjoy being in the hills and you didn’t feel like you were just a small jaunt off the big way, complete secluded to outdoors while being. Cozy, clean cabins. We will be back again next year!

Gold Camp Cabins is truly a gem of a place to stay! A true log cabin with all the homey feels, including your own personal firepit that comes with its own stack of firewood. We got the back to nature experience with the comforts of home! It is jut close enough to amenities being 4 miles to town, groceries, shops, and restaurants while not being stacked one on top of the other! ***Note: wifi and cell service are almost non-exist so be prepared to disconnect and enjoy your surroundings! We will definitely be back to visit!

Choose a different place.
The cabin was very clean, however, the rooms are very small and cramped. It is difficult for an average sized adult to maneuver in the very small bathroom. The beds are insanely uncomfortable. The fire alarm intermittently went off during our stay. We attempted to reach the hotel staff, but were unable to. We left a day early because ot was so uncomfortable and cramped. We tried a couple more times to reach the hotel staff. There is no message on the answering service to let you know you called a hotel. We did not leave a message for this reason. When we finally reached an employee, she was very rude amd hung up on me.

When we first pulled up we were a little worried because there is a logging company right in front of the property; however, once we got down the to the cabin all of our worries vanished. It was very quiet, the cabins are positioned so that you look at the national forest, it felt very private and homey, like you expect a log cabin to feel. Everything we needed was right in the cabin. We also appreciated that we didnt really have to check in or out, so it felt even more private and like we were at home. We reallt enjoyed our stay, i encourage anyone looking at this property to go ahead and book it.

Great place to stay.
Our second time staying in this cabin. We really enjoyed it. We brought a new dog, and it was great not worrying about barking bothering our neighbors, although she really didn't bark much. The cabin was clean and quiet. It is off the road, so people don't even notice it. It has a very pretty pond with geese and deer can be seen in the mornings. We will stay there again.

Everything was great except 2 small things: 1) A light by the eating table would be helpful as it is dark. Something that could be attached to a log and plugged into an outlet. 2) A 10 cup coffee pack is too big.

The location was very quiet and safe. We were able to exercise our dog off leash safely. The cabin was perfect for us size-wise (2 adults and large dog). We didn't need the extra 2 twin beds that were in the loft so they didn't take up floor space. Cabin had glasses and mugs but no dishes or eating utensils; maybe with COVID that is less important but would have been nice to know. Not walking distance to restaurants but a short drive to Custer. We would definitely stay here again.

Gold Camp was very good
Very nice, comfortable, clean cabin. Plenty of towels, etc. My only suggestion would be to stock with a few plates, knives, and forks.

A slice of heaven
Very clean, and very quiet. Every morning i sat out on the back patio and watch the deer. Had a fire out in the back yard and gazed at the stars. Very close to Custer city and Mount Rushmore. Im so glad i booked this cabin.
