The staff were excellent and very attentive throughout our stay. The room was spacious with a wonderful view of the city. Location is at walking distance from many restaurants and stores. Breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again if we ever re-visit the city.

The Hotel ambiance is really Beautiful, the location is very convenient, you are close to the main sites of Cuenca, all of them walking distance. The staff are very nice, courteous and kind. Recommended to anyone wishing a great place to stay in Cuenca.

The hotel and staff was fantastic! I have only wonderful things to say about the hotel and staff. However, the breakfast was not very good. I would eat elsewhere. We did not have dinner there for that reason but aside from that. 5 stars.

Wonderful hotel

The hotel was wonderful. It has an old-world charm but with the features of a modern hotel. The rooftop restaurant had amazing views and unbelievable food. I enjoyed every aspect of the hotel except that they did not have parking on-site.

Hotel staff were amazing. Very helpful. From the front desk to the restaurant staff! All lovely! The hotel itself is a gem! Small, quiet, beautiful. The rooms were very clean, the bed was heaven! We had complimentary breakfast and it was delicious. The restaurant is a rooftop with a gorgeous view!!! The hotel is walkable to all the touristic areas. It is not in the middle of the crowded areas which I appreciated very much. The only thing to keep in mind is that they have no parking insite. But this is not uncommon in the downtown area. There is a parking site at walking minutes and the hotel staff helps with the luggage there. Not a deal breaker at all. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful experience at Cruz del Vado. The property is beautiful and comfortable. Staff was incredibly accommodating. We had a late check in and their security guard escorted us from our car. We even had treats left in our room. Cant wait to go back!

The pictures in this hotel offer something completely different of what it actually offered. I would say the rooftop/restaurant area are above and beyond, the service and breakfast were really good. But when it comes to the pricing and the actual room where you have to sleep, leave a lot to be desired. For example, the pictures show open windows with curtins, but you are actually looking at the hallway, if you get one of the two suites offered, only the you will get a street/river/mountain view on a not "private balcony" (anyone can access it). The hotel claims they do not have a ventilation system in the rooms because the municipality does not allow to install it because of the "historic building" which is built on. So you are paying pretty much a 5 star hotel for a "nice room" which pretty much feels like a sauna. I have been to cuenca many times and actually felt cold in the rooms in other properties, but here, i had to ask the front desk for 2 fans because the heat was unbearable. All of the rooms, except for the 2 suites, do not have windows and face the hallways. I never used my room key because you could fisically open your hallway window, and open your door. Bathrooms and rooms where spotless (they could use better toiletries to get your money's worth). The hotel is nice, but definitely not worth the money paid. Definitely would never stay here again.

La ubicación es pésima porq no se puede llegar en el auto, hay que subir caminando y no hay donde estacionar. Después cuando llegamos no nos abrían la puerta tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo para que nos abran!

Loved this property. They kept the look of Quenca authentic and the service was top notch. We arrived a bit early and they were able to accommodate, which was a relief. Great views of the city. The chocolate lava cake was out of this world!
