"They offer rustic rooms and cabins at this property. We rent a room in the main lodge. Check in consisted of a note hanging on the office door with your information. We never encountered any staff during our two night stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Electrical in room was a little sketchy. Our room had romex wire coming out of the wall with an electrical outlet on the end under a chair. The front door to the Lodge is hard to close without making a lot of noise. I felt bad because we left at 4:30 am both mornings to get to Yellowstone and I could not close the door quietly. I’m sure the other guests were happy with us. Parking is another thing that I did not care for. We had to park out in the street that is the main highway through town. I was not really comfortable with this. I realize that this property is an old rustic place, but I feel it needs some TLC."
