Fortunella and Serena went the extra mile to welcome me and make me feel at home. Hotel building has old-fashioned charm and is central to downtown Crotone. I enjoyed gnocchi with clams and tuna filet with caramelized onions across the street at A Ra Gghjazza— which I believe means "on the plaza" in a local dialect. Bar Moka, around the corner, shares management with the hotel and is a solid choice for morning coffee or an after-dinner drink.
If you're arriving by train, keep in mind that the station is a little ways outside of town, so you may want to have the hotel arrange a taxi.
