This property has a lot of charm, in a quiet area just a short drive from the Redwood Giants. The host, Aneka is gracious and charming. I am letting all my family and friends who might potentially go there know about this beautiful, simple, quiet getaway.

Check-in was a breeze, we showed up kind of late, so we met her in person, and she handed us the gate remote and keys. Told us the basic details of what we needed to know, and that was it! Extremely comfortable, clean and cozy place, kitchen had all the basic seasonings and some even extra pantry foods and condiments. Very homey and calm vibe. We really enjoyed the chickens and ducks! I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Fantastic Redwood Retreat

The Hideaway was a very cozy spot to stay while exploring the redwoods and crescent city. Only five minutes from town, but is super quiet and felt like a remote retreat. Aneka was a fabulous host and made our time very special.

Relaxing Country Hideaway

Really quaint place with all the necessities. A thoughtful, lovely lady owns and manages this charming place that’s a little bit in the country complete with chickens and fresh organic eggs in the frig. We felt very at home and relaxed here.

My husband and I recently stayed for four days, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Aneka, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the start. The place itself was perfect — quiet, cozy, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The location was ideal, close to all the areas we planned to explore, yet tucked away in a peaceful, wooded setting. We slept well every night and loved the little details, like watching the friendly chickens as we came and went. Most importantly, I felt safe and completely comfortable throughout the stay.If you’re looking for a serene, convenient, and charming place to stay in Crescent City, I highly recommend this spot. 10 year anniversary trip

Perfect spot! Only minutes away from groceries, restaurants, the beach, and the Jedediah Smith Redwood state park! We had a wonderful time and Aneka was very accommodating and helpful!

The HideOut

The apartment is located in a quiet area, which is what we wanted. Aneka is a very gracious and solicitous hostess, quick to respond to your needs. The HideOut is adequate for two people, especially if you do not plan to do a lot of cooking. There are lots of nature trails through the beautiful redwoods. We were gone most of every day and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the area.

Cozy and welcoming

After long days of traveling and exploring, this was the perfect place to be able to cozy up and wind down. It was such a nice environment surrounded by nature and of course the chickens. The outside area was ideal for our dog to get to walk around freely in the mornings. We would definitely come back! :)

Enjoyed a 3-night stay to see redwoods. This lodging is located in a rural neighborhood at a 10-minute drive from Crescent City town center and harbor. Greeted by helpful and generous host, who offered treats like eggs from her free-range chickens. Stairs up to a 2nd-floor loft for cozy hide-away.

While the place was charming, the stove and oven were old and didnt work as expected. On the positive side, fresh eggs from resident chickens were supplied as well as most condiments.

Cute hideout

We arrived late and communicated with Aneka our eta. She responded quickly and had no issues finding the place. It is secure, super cute. It is a loft-style one bedroom. Clean, quiet and perfectly located. Our dog loved all the smells and little gated area was nice addition for a dog. The pet fee is totally reasonable extra. The fresh eggs and stocked fridge was a added bonus.
