The kitchen was small but everything we needed to make breakfast before starting the next leg of the walk, The bed was very comfortable and had a good night's sleep. Had a good meal and a couple of good pints in the Crown Inn which was only a 2 minute walk away."

"Clean room .Booked a superior room but looked like standard double room. Staff helpful and polite. Big portions at breakfast. Good choice menue through day and night. Bar good selection of drinks."

"Our 2 nights stay at the Black Swan was mostly good. Evening meal was very good on the first night. The bar was busy and had a nice atmosphere plus friendly locals. The room was comfortable, bathroom okay apart from the door which has noisy latch which can wake you up if you are a light sleeper. Some noise from machinery which kept cutting in and heard in the bedroom. Breakfast was okay but a little sparse for a cooked breakfast."

"Once I got my head past the idea that ‘this is not a Marriott’ I came to realize this is a great hotel. Room was comfortable. I was able to park right outside the hotel front door every night. Breakfast was good. The bar area is well presented with a good mix of locals and tourists to talk to. Room attended to daily. The local town is very pleasant. Some great coffee shops and pubs."

"It was a lovely little hotel in a cute village, the staff were super friendly and the breakfast was good with lots of choice. The room was nice & the bed was comfy with tea/coffee, iron, hairdryer etc. However the room is definitely in need of a major refresh in decorating. The hot tap barely came out, the shower head holder was so loose it came off the wall, there was some mouldy patches in the shower and one of the towels had what looked like blood stains. Other than those odd issues, the rest of the stay was lovely and we would stay there again!"
