Reel Pelican Paradise located in Paradise village, Shellpoint Beach on the Gulf

Retreat to this beautiful 3 BR 2 BA home on a canal that leads to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Located on an oversized lot, this fully-updated home has a view down the entire canal, a large 12x26 screened-in porch. Once you step inside you will love this well-maintained, home with a fabulous layout that includes a separate office and laundry room. The large kitchen has custom cabinets and top-of-the-line appliances and shows like a model home. Tennis courts available for recreational enjoyment as well as new pickle ball courts.

Shell Point Beach was previously privately owned, but presently is maintained by the Wakulla County Department of Parks and Recreation. There is a pavilion and public restrooms. The walking and golf cart community of Shell Point is a friendly group of families who love the sleepy beach for impromptu games of volleyball, pot luck dinners, art classes, and events including the Memorial Day golf cart parade and 4th of July fireworks display – all always open to anyone. During the summer months, highly popular are both youth and adult sailing and windsurfing lessons.

The Shell Point area is a nature lover’s delight for dolphin watching and observation of other coastal wildlife. Birdwatching is especially remarkable and an active bald eagle nest is located nearby on Live Oak Island. Between Shell Point and the next-door community of Spring Creek is an entry point to a section of the Florida Trail that traverses the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge and leads to two hidden natural gems: the awe-inspiring Cathedral of Palms, one of only two remaining virgin palm hammocks in Florida and Shepherd Springs, an idyllic blue oasis tucked away in the woods.

Whether you enjoy windsurfing, sailing, boating, fishing, kayaking, beachcombing, nature watching, photography, bicycling, hiking, picnicking, or just kicking back to enjoy the views, the community at Shell Point welcomes you to come experience their little nugget of quiet paradise on the northern edge of Apalachee Bay.

Great place, tons of room, tons of things in the house - pots, pans, spices, glasses, etc. You could make and serve meals for 10 people with all that they provide. Plus being in the water, great place to stay

Shellpoint paradise

Great fishing trip

Beautiful and comfortable home--lovely decor with comfortable seating... we spent most of the day on the water but enjoyed restful evenings at the house. The boat slip and easy walk made loading and unloading the boat easy... the place to clean the fish by the boat slip was great! The shower head in the master bath Was so good I am looking to replace mine with it. Wish we had been able to stay longer! I'd definitely go back!

Shell Point Boaters Dream

Cozie, clean, super convenient. Check in was easy and host was very accomodating. A few minor upgrades are recommended: bathrooms: exhaust fans were noisy and places to hang damp towels needed.

Have stayed at this home several times and it never disappoints. Owner is great to work with and no problems ever. Large home on the canal with a great boat dock and a great view down the canal. You can't go wrong by staying here.

Awesome place!

Perfect place for a perfect weekend getaway. This was one of the best VRBOs I have stayed in. The back porch was so large and comfortable. The layout of the home is so comfortable and the rooms are huge. Master bathroom was gorgeous and good for anyone with mobility issues. Food trucks came to the beach area for lunch , which was also a plus. We wanted a comfortable - low key place and we found it! I could go on and on awesome rental!

Renovation Get away weekend

This weekend was to get my parents out of the house so the rest of the familycould do some repairs. This home was perfect for the three of us. The home was beautifully decorated, cozy and comfortable. We truly got much needed rest and relaxation during our short stay!!! Thank you Tammy for your hospitality!!!

Nice to be able to see canal with large picture window from great room Could see the pelicans and all the boats That was very nice Great porch screened looking out at canal with TV and comfortable seating. Very pleasant place to relax. We enjoyed walking on the beach and all around house was very comfortable, clean and well stocked. Comfy beds

Totally loved it.

Well this was a very comfortable and homey place. We played cards outside and enjoyed the sunsets over the water. The kitchen was very nice and they had an area just for computers - all set up. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very nice and spacious. We walked the neighborhood, rode bike and also went to the archeological sites in St. Mary's / Wakulla. I would come back here any day and recommend to others.

Perfect for a Big Bro Visit

Great home at the end of a canal. Easy walking distance to public beach and boat ramp. Everything we needed was available in this lovely updated open concept home with large screened in porch and side deck! There was even a private dock. Loved the eclectic mix of furnishings! Hostess was very responsive and would recommend this property if you are looking for an off the grid relaxing vacation!

Thanksgiving 2023

Our family needed a change of scenery from our typical Thanksgiving, so we decided to visit family on the Gulf! Rather than cramming 2 families together, we rented this property. It was perfect! We had a dock to fish from, a screened porch to watch the sunrise, plenty of room to spread out and relax... it was great. The property was easy to get to, clean and had everything we needed.

Very nice property

The property was super ni e and well-appointed. The pool was nice. The only issue we had was its remote location. Nice beaches were an hour drive. Shopping and most restaurants were 30 minutes away. It would be perfect for those interested in fishing. It was just personal preference for us. But the property itself was very nice and i. A good neighborhood.

Nice Getaway

I like places like this where you can walk outside your door and you're next to the water with a dock. The home was nicely put together with a good layout. A lot of things in the cabinets and drawers provided that aren't normally at a rental. Clean. My wife is more of a luxury type and didn't care for it. So if you're the ritz carlton type you won't enjoy it so much. But if you want to visit a water community and want to relax, fish and enjoy a good time off in a clean beautiful area, you'll really like it.
