Amazing Log Cabin on the Water!

A short drive from Birmingham, you will feel like you’re a world away as you meander along a quiet road with picturesque views of the countryside. You’ll be welcomed inside this beautiful rustic Adirondack style log cabin by the aroma of knotty pine into a huge kitchen and dining room where you can enjoy a family breakfast next to a real wood fireplace with wide views of the lake.

Take a moment to catch your breath before stepping into the Great Room. Here you can read a book while watching the boats go by on the comfortable leather sofa, enjoy a glass of wine by the floor to ceiling rock fireplace, watch TV with the whole family, or just sit and enjoy the details of this exquisitely decorated room with pine wood beams stretched across the soaring ceilings.

You’ll be drawn up to the loft where you will find an open area with bonus twin beds with views of the Great Room and Smith Lake. Just off the Great Room, a hand-crafted King Bed with a mural of the Lake and beautiful armoire make up the master suite. The master bath features a claw foot tub and an incredible custom stone and slate shower large enough for two.

Wake up to awesome views of the lake from the second King suite with adjoining bathroom. The 3rd ground floor bedroom features a King bed and 3rd bath. The 2nd floor offers a bedroom with a full size bed and sleeping loft with twin beds. With all the beauty inside, you tend to forget the main reason you came here but eventually you will find yourself on the back covered porch looking out over a large deck with table for outdoor dinning and outdoor wood burning fireplace. The amazingly clear and deep waters of the main body of Rock Creek.

A large fenced in yard allows Mom and Dad the opportunity relax on the porch swing and watch the kids and puppies play. When you’re ready to go down to the lake, a gentle walk leads you to the boat dock with swim pier and double jet-ski lifts. You’ll definitely want to take advantage of the large stainless gas grill enjoy your meal in the lakeside gazebo with picnic table and double glider. The house also has a state or the art security system with external cameras. With all these extraordinary amenities and accommodations for up to 10 people, you’ll want to come every season to Cody’s Cabin.

Great, pet-friendly cabin!

The property was perfect for bringing our dogs! Great outdoor space, fenced yard and dock. We were able to go for walks around the surrounding farmland which the dogs loved. When you think of a cabin, this is the picture in the dictionary - everything is wood and dark. It was rather chilly while we were there so we played lots of games and watched movies. The television was not the most updated but we really only used it at night. The owner was very responsive and helpful.

Fall Break

My Family and 2 dogs had a wonderful stay in October. The weather was perfect and the cabin was very nice. We spent most of our time out on the porch sitting on the swing or by the fire. The kitchen was great for meals and had all we needed. We hope to return soon.

Perfect for Family Getaway

Our family enjoyed 3 nights at Cody’s Cabin, making memories together. It was the perfect place for us, easily accommodating 2 sets of grandparents (in their 70’s), aunt & uncle (40’s), mom & dad & baby; as it offered plenty of bathrooms & bedrooms with king size beds. Additionally, fenced backyard made for less stress keeping up with a 1.5 year old and two dogs.

Beautiful getaway, perfect for families!

This cabin was everything we were looking for in an extended weekend vacation. The home is simply breathtaking, and the lake views are gorgeous. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms, and the layout of the property is ideal for multiple couples. Our group never felt crowded or in each other's way, and the privacy was really nice. The guys enjoyed fishing right off the shoreline, and the rest of enjoyed the mild weather in the shade of the gazebo. We're looking forward to going back to Cody's Cabin again!

Family memories.

Great place for the family. Swimming and fishing right in the backyard. Short walk to the dock. Bedrooms were arranged perfectly for our family. 3 bathrooms a definite plus. Cell service a little spotty but that just forces families to spend time enjoying each other instead of being on their phones.

Great Pet Friendly Home

This place is not perfect. But is is close - for us. There is a little dust. It is very pet friendly, with a super convenient fenced back yard that corrals both a small dog and a young child. There is not a speck of paint inside - the interior is natural wood finish top bottom and sides. The decor is “lodge” — charming, warm, and relaxing. We enjoy the waterside covered table and glider swing, as well as the wooden geck just out the back door - snores in its brick fireplace. Three spacious bedrooms downstairs with three bathrooms — two dedicated and one shared with the main living area. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, kitchenware and spices — we used a bit and left some new. The water is deep one step off shore. But the ground slopes gently to the water - No Cliffs! Many properties have high cliff faces on this lake. The house and proper facilitated a Great week with family, and we would look forward to staying here again!

Beautiful cabin. No wood for fireplaces was disappointing. Comfortable beds. No tv’s for kiddos in bedrooms, Wi-Fi was trouble some at times. I’m guessing water level was down which made ramp a little scarey to walk on, although we couldn’t find any fish in the lake 🐟 It was relaxing and plenty of seating overall. Location was nice and easy to find. Had a great birthday

Family Memorial Gathering For Loved Ones

Our family of seven gathers once or twice a year to celebrate our grandson and oldest son's lives. The outside area was so pleasant. We enjoyed the rockers and swings very much. Having two coffee pots for this coffee-drinking family was a big plus. This is a time of remembrance and reflection for all of us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cody's Cabin. Our host was so kind and accommodating. He allowed us to bring our dogs, which we greatly appreciated. The cabin is beautiful. We loved that the king bedrooms are on the same floor. We wished we could use the hot tub, but in all fairness, it was not listed in the accommodations. The bedroom and bathroom doors need some work, as they are hard to open and close/lock, but we made it work.

Cody's Cabin's Critique

When we walked through the front door of the cabin we were amazed at how beautiful it is. The furnishings are amazing! The kitchen has more accessories than any other place we've ever stayed. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms totally modern and spotless. The back porch and swing were my happy spot. The gazebo with glider...another happy place. Super easy access to the water with dock to either fish from or jump off for a swim...but there is a ladder for the more timid swimmers. I think we spent more time on the huge deck than anywhere else. So nice with so much seating to enjoy the fireplace...even though we didn't build a fire. The view is incredible! Needless to say...we loved it! Thank you so much Larry, for sharing it with us!

Loved the Decor - Fun Weekend!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this beautifully decorated cabin. There are a lot of great features to this property. The antiques and photos were very cool and sparked several conversations. We loved that it had 3 king size beds on the main floor, each with their own full bath. The fenced yard was great for our dog when he wanted to take a break from the dock and lake. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and serving the catering we brought with us. It is close to Triple Creek Marina and we had a lot of fun on our rented Sea-Doo. The guys all enjoyed fishing, even though they didn't catch anything. The rock shore line made for some fun cliff jumping. We did have a couple of minor, but important, repair requests upon arrival. Larry was very responsive and sent the handyman the next morning. The property is in need of a floor-to-ceiling deep cleaning and some maintenance and pressure washing on the porch, deck, and dock...but we didn't let that spoil our fun and enjoyment of this beautiful, crystal clear lake.

Wonderful Cabin!

Cody’s Cabin is a beautiful cabin nestled in the woods with beautiful views! We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay with our family and fur babies!

Loved the Location

Cabin was as described. Two couples with 6 kids (ages 3-11) cabin easily accommodated. Loved the fenced yard which worked great for the little kids and the two dogs.We also really enjoyed the dock for swimming and playing in the water. The ice machine was great to have!We would definitely book again.
