"Booked the trip for my family of 5. We had a great time. The only negative thing I have to say is there is no signal out there unless you have Verizon. I didn't get the code beforehand as I normally just check my messages as I arrive, but there was no signal so I had to drive back towards town until I got a signal to call the host for the door code. Once inside the property, everything was good. If you have someone staying in the back room off the kitchen and it is cold, use the oil radiator provided otherwise it is very cold. Kitchen was well equipped, the only thing we missed was a toaster oven because we like to use those for buns, or cheese on toast, rather an actual toaster, which they did have. In all we had a good time. The property is about 25min drive to Asheville. We booked the property because the Vrbo app said the property was only 9miles from Mt. Mitchell, which was the whole reason we went, that is not correct, it was an hours drive. But that is not the host's fault, it was Vrbo's error. The host was great "

"Everything was perfect, everything we needed. The downtown was amazing! Trailhead had food that was Every bit as delicious and price is right than a high end restaurant. I recommend to anyone for a great, peaceful experience."

"This home was perfect for our multi-family group! The view was gorgeous! The bonus loft space was perfect for two of our teens to sleep in, just note that the ceiling is sloped and it can get warm up there and not any privacy! A great space regardless. We enjoyed the hot tub too! Having two living rooms and kitchens, with our size group, was very helpful for spreading out! The two dining tables were perfect, not only for meals but games! There were plenty of dishes, cookware, towels, blankets, bedding and pillows for all! All beds were comfortable. The only thing that was challenging was the super steep long driveway! The owner gave us warning about it, but it was steeper than any of us imagined! You need to put your vehicle into a low gear and go up confidently or your tires may spin trying to get up the first part like several of our vehicles experienced (it had also rained and the roads were wet). Also, be sure to turn your cars around at the top and go down the driveway forwards. There are places to park on the way to the house that the host told us about if you have guests whose cars would struggle. You’d need someone to pick you and your things up and drive you up the driveway if you park away from the house though. An overall lovely stay, fast communication with the host, clean and comfortable home! "

"We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy, pet friendly summer retreat near Asheville. The mountain views were beautiful and peaceful, especially in the evenings by the fire pit. The location was perfect close enough to everything around Asheville, but still quiet and relaxing.The home was very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. You can tell King and Kristine truly care about their guests. Everything we needed was there, and communication was excellent from start to finish.If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with a great view and a convenient location near AVL, this is it.
