"The back deck overlooking the waterfall below is alone enough to make this the perfect retreat. It's quiet, peaceful and comfortable. Very clean. It was a great place for me to work as I was in the area to cover disaster recovery work by The Fuller Center for Housing, while it was also close enough to Asheville and Weaverville for my wife and mother to explore shops, restaurants, and, of course, the Biltmore. It strikes the perfect balance of getting away from it all while not getting TOO far away from it all. I'd enjoy a chance to return here just to relax instead of work. I could picture myself staying here for a few days of retreat without ever leaving. Also, the Starlink internet worked great, which is very important in this area of currently sketchy cell service.On a side note, the Ingles grocery store in Weaverville is one of the best grocery stores I've ever been to, so you don't need to drag all your food from home."

"This was a perfect house for our group. Open spaces for all to gather, but it was great that the kids could have their own space downstairs. Beautiful views and convenient to downtown Black Mountain. "

"Quiet quaint mountain cabin. Well stocked kitchen and great hot tub. Nice fire pit for the cool crisp nights. Gas grill was nice for cooking out during our stay. The waterfall added a nice touch while enjoying our morning coffee out on the front covered porch. "

"This was the third year in a row that we have stayed in Black Mountain. It is a family and friends trip for my granddaughter's homecoming soccer game. By far, this house was the best. Room to seat the twelve of us in the dining room. Big kitchen. Plenty of dishes, pans, and cutlery. Nice bedrooms, only you had to walk through two of the upstairs ones to get to two others. Having the five bathrooms was a great plus with ten women! Loved the rocking chairs on the front porch and the view. Cable, wifi, and cellphone service were great. The long, curvy driveway, up the hill, was the only downside to this property; but, we had plenty of parking for our four vehicles. After returning home, my sister realized she had lost a bracelet her grandchildren had given her. Getting in touch with the host, he was able to have the cleaning staff find it! We hope to return here next year!"

"Very comfortable, nicely decorated, the kitchen was more than sufficient for our needs, situated next to a creek that was great to relax next to. Check was very easy. Highly recommend and will make reservations again. Driving up the road to the cottage we saw deer, lots of turkeys, and a black bear."
