If there is a heaven on earth, this is it! Excellent accomodations, clean, warm in the cool/cold of winter, quiet, peaceful, scenic! A songwriter could stay at the cabin and write an album of hits! This is where I come for life's perspectives!
Second time staying here. Love this house and location. Steven was very nice and welcoming. Had a great time exploring the area and enjoying the serenity of the house/area! Will be back again!
Stephen was amazing. Really showed hospitality making sure we had everything we needed. Even called ahead to advise of weather conditions. The set up of the cabin is definitely all inclusive for a romantic getaway. I loved the isolated location and the beautiful nature scenery. We are definitely making this our getaway spot. Every detail was thought out and anticipated
Loved our second time staying in the cabin! Very relaxing and peaceful area and the cabin is perfectly adorned and has everything you need for a wonderful time. Thank you!
This was our second time staying here and we'll certainly return. If you want to just get away for some peace, quiet, and relaxation, there's nothing better.
This place was perfect for a short stay in the mountains! It offered a great place to relax after hiking and biking all day. The owner, Stephen, was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely visit again!
Stephen's property is truly a beautiful retreat for couples. Situated along a lovely creek and surrounded by scenic nature, the cabin is warm, cozy, and comfortable, allowing my partner and me to enjoy each other's company fully. This is a five-star getaway for couples!
Cabin was very clean. We enjoyed the secluded area and watching the birds and squirls from the porch. Everything we needed was there. A secluded cabin but close enough to the Blue Ridge Parkway and other sites.
Lovely stay. The cabin is beautifully constructed and entirely secluded near the banks of a lovely creek. Watched eagles and deer every evening. Communications with Steven were excellent - he was extremely helpful.
This property was amazing to just get away from the daily life. It was so peaceful just listening to the wildlife and exploring the creek. Stephen was very kind in making sure we were settled in after we arrived and is only a text away if you need anything! We plan on booking another trip soon!
We loved everything about this cabin. This is our second trip to this beautiful, relaxing cabin in the mountains! We plan on visiting again. Stephen thought of everything when building this cabin.
Thanks again for another great stay!

This was the 3rd time that we stayed at the cabin.
We Love the Peace & Quiet, Seclusion and the Privacy.
We Tubbed the Creek & did Smores by the Fire Pit.
It was Perfect!
This exceeded our expectations. Perfect getaway to escape the noise and de-stress. We were so content. The surrounding nature is beautiful. We will be coming back in the future.
Came here for NYE weekend. Very easy check-in/out process. It has everything you need. Just make sure to stock up at the store before you arrive as the closest market or grocery store is about half an hour away. If you want to get away from the city and relax, this is your place.
My teenagers and I really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is cozy and the creek is beautiful. We enjoyed kayaking and fishing everyday. It is a curvy drive, but it is worth it. Next time I would stop for groceries beforehand, to avoid a trip out. We sat on the porch for hours and enjoyed the wildlife!
My wife and I stayed at the Misty Creek Cabin for some relaxation and to do a little fishing on the creek. We enjoyed our stay there. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We spent the early mornings and evenings sitting on the porch watching the wildlife. Waded the creek during the day and caught a few fish (mostly redeye bass and one smallmouth bass). We would stay there again if back in the area.
What a great gem!! Relaxing, clean comfortable. Many deer, squirrels and rabbits to keep you company. Ha also eagles from time to time. Our favorite place
Me and my wife had a great stay, the place was a great cabin and had every thing you would need, the property manager Stephan was great, we spoke often and was helpful to any needs, had a large amount of fire wood for the fire pit, and the wild life was great, Deer, Eagle, and many other wild life, would recommend to any one.
This was just a quick stay for my dad and I to go on a fishing trip. The cabin was a perfect little getaway. Would have been a great place for me and my wife to stay in. It was very clean, nice bathroom and on the water to cast out if you want to fish. Definitely recommend if anyone is looking for a secluded place to stay. There is not much around so if you’re looking for remote, this is the place. Also keep in mind if you drive a lowered car then the driveway will not work for you just an fyi.
A very peaceful and beautiful getaway. Very secluded property with a lovely view of the river. Ideal spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The house is well-stocked, very clean, and really cozy. The host is very thoughtful and even offered to drive me to various hiking spots. There is a very nice trail very close to the house if you don't feel like driving around a lot. I would plan to get groceries before arriving since the grocery store is a bit of a drive. Highly recommend!!
Stephen's thoughtfully cared-for and well-appointed home was a dream getaway from "city" life! Although it was a bit more secluded than I anticipated, I felt very safe. I appreciated the deadbolts on both the main and deck doors, and the elevated deck allowed me to safely enjoy the visiting wildlife. I was actually hoping to see a bear. :) The creek is wide and lovely, and I enjoyed hunting for heart-shaped rock treasures. Stephen was very responsive, accommodating, and helpful throughout my stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return! If you're looking for an easy 3-4hr adventure, drive north to Roaring Run Falls and Furnace. The hike is easy and the cascading river and waterfalls are stunning. Then continue on to Falling Spring Falls. There is an area to park and walk to one of the most beautiful views in Virginia!
