"The veteran employees who met us at the entrance were not friendly or welcoming, just going through the motions. The 1796 wait staff wait staff were not very attentive, it took awhile to get their attention and place orders. My wife said my paper plane cocktail was much better than the one she got at the Lobby Bar."

It is very private and peaceful.There are no delivery services, grocery, or gas near by (all 20 minutes or more away). Come stocked and ready to go!As a heads up, you may lose service about 20 minutes away. GPS still worked for everyone. The turn onto the driveway appears 0.3ish miles before your GPS has it marked. The owner does a good job of labeling the driveway with a sign and a picture of the house. Just pay attention. The driveway is a gravel road (a little steep in some places) that my two wheel drive did not appreciate, but everyone made it up okay! The drive down is easier than the drive up!"
