Find a Great Motel Courtenay

"The room was huge which was amazing as we had dogs so we could have kennels set up for them and not be squished like sardines. We had a kitchen, but alot of the stuff was outdated. Couldn't have the microwave and the over on as it would blow the breaker. Made coffee and it tasted really bad plus no sweetener on sight which was hard cause my friend is diabetic. The cafe on sight was delightful, coffee there was great. Thought only open 8am-1pm. The place was really close to a bunch of places to eat so had lots of choice and the food was great! Had lots of options for walking dogs, large grass area around back or a trail and park a minute walk from the hotel. Beds were very comfy and clean. Pillows were very small but comfy if you sleep with 2, so might want to ask front desk for extra if you are sleeping with another person. All in all would definitely come back."

"Resort is visually wonderful, from check in to the room. The resort picks up the taxi cost from airport or ferry terminal. There are too many annoying lights (A/C unit, cable box) that stay on when trying to sleep. Meals at the resort are expensive. Otherwise, it is a very nice place to stay. "

"Room was nice but on the smaller side. The bed was comfortable. The Bathroom is again on the smaller side with the sink separated in the room but the rain fall showerhead was great. Unfortunately I didn't noticed there appeared to be black mold on the window sills until i checked out. For that reason alone I wouldn't stay again. Location was good, close to everything and a great breakfast place on property."

"Old tired motel from decades ago; while there were superficial attempts to refresh the place, they were poorly done; the exterior needs more expert upkeep. Inside the room, very strong chemical odour (recently painted??), really bad wallpaper job, cheap vinyl flooring peeling and chipped, bathroom faucets reversed, shower temperature control goes from scalding to cold without warning, table lamps keep flickering because of defective extension cord (or possible short in the outlet), a portable heater/rad unit caked in dirt and gets so hot it could easily burn someone. Some odd long-term residents from the looks of some people I saw. Expensive considering these problems."

"Such a delightdul stay! So many cute touches in Wonderland, a great brekkie, fantastic sheets, close to everything and a perfect backyard for sipping rose and enjoying a private hot tub!"
