"I stayed 2 nights at Stéfan's place at the beginning of a bicycle trip. The location is ideal; easy to reach from Blois, but remote enough to be quiet and tranquil.I spent a day shopping, riding to Cheverny where I had a picnic on the grounds of the chateau, and back to Vineuil. On the way I stopped at the coop degustation center for Cour Cheverny. "The staff were exceptionally helpful, welcoming, and hardworking, always going out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of options available rather than a typical continental spread, including several coffee choices. The room showed some signs of wear and tear, although the bathroom had been recently renovated and was spotless. The main drawbacks were the squeaky floors and limited soundproofing between rooms, although outside noise was generally well blocked. Parking is located a short walk away (just a couple of minutes) and is free only between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Overall, it’s a good option for a short stay of one or two nights."

"I had chosen this hotel as it was close to the train station and was one of the few in Blois that had an elevator. When I arrived, I was informed the elevator was out of service (and apparently there was no plan to have it repaired.) I asked if the Hotel St. Jacques which was a few buildings away had an elevator, and the receptionist grudgingly called them. Well, they, too, have an elevator, but it was not working because the "group" was remodeling the hotel. My room was small and at the extreme other end of the first floor (NOT ground floor.) But it was clean and quiet because the entire city is quiet at night. I didn't bother with breakfast as I've found pastry shops have better selections in the morning. The location is very convenient. Easy walking to Chateau Blois and the Mansion of Magic. If renting a car, parking is available at the train station for a moderate fee."

"Could not beat the location, absolutely stunning. Our room was also top drawer. However, dinner was mediocre, waiting staff were poorly trained. Breakfast was poor, again few staff, not attentive and food choices were very limited. I had to chase 3 times to order a simple omelette and it was not busy or peak season. Overall beautiful setting which promised highly but service did not deliver and certainly not aligned to the price paid"

"One of best places I have stayed in — will highly recommend to friends and family. The place is serene, staff is very accommodating, spa is very relaxing, the facilities and food are outstanding!! A great place to pick as a base for visiting all the chateaus in the area and come back to relax at this property!! Wish we stayed longer but we will definitely be back!"
