We had a wonderful stay at Sugar Bay Barbados, and one of the biggest reasons was the people. The staff truly made the experience special. Kai, Akiel, Kay, Destiny, and Devon were absolutely amazing. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and personable. It seemed like everywhere you turned, someone was greeting you with a smile and a hello. That kind of genuine hospitality is something you can’t teach, and it speaks volumes about the people who make this resort what it is. The resort itself was clean and welcoming, the food was good, the beach was beautiful, and the pool was a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Overall, Sugar Bay has a lot going for it, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. That said, there are a few areas where management could make some relatively simple improvements that would go a long way toward elevating the overall guest experience: * Front gazebo: The stockpile of old mattresses near the front gazebo needs to be removed. It’s not the first impression you want guests to have. * Beach cleanliness: The beach should be checked and cleaned daily, including removing discarded cups and other debris. * Dirty dishes: We noticed dirty dishes with leftover food being left out for days. This is something that should be addressed promptly. * Beach bar signage: The missing or damaged letters on the Sugar Bay branding in front of the beach bar need to be replaced. Easy fix for 5 stars

Our stay at Blue Monkey was incredible from start to finish. The property is beautiful, but what truly sets it apart is the people. Every employee we encountered was kind, friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure we were well taken care of. You can feel that the entire team truly cares about the guest experience. The rooms were beautifully appointed, with extremely comfortable beds, an amazing shower, and top-notch toiletries. Everything felt thoughtful and luxurious without being stuffy. The food was also delicious—every meal we had was fantastic. The spa was another highlight. The services were amazing, and the experience was incredibly relaxing. A huge thank you to Danika at the spa, who was wonderful and made the experience even better. So many people deserve recognition. Brian, the General Manager, is incredibly personable and goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has a top-notch stay. Lucas at the beach was wonderful and attentive, Tia/astrid at the front desk werekind and helpful, and the entire team at Amare made every dining experience feel special. The exceptional service made this stay truly memorable. Every employee seemed to notice what we needed before we even had to ask. That kind of genuine hospitality is hard to find.Blue Monkey is beautiful, the accommodations are exceptional, and the food and spa are fantastic—but it’s the people who truly make this place special. We had an amazing stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommend!
