This place was amazing! The loft was spotless, beautifully decorated with a chic, bougie vibe, and every detail was thoughtfully done. The beds were incredibly comfortable, which made our stay even more relaxing. It was also perfectly located—close to everything, so we could easily explore the adorable town without hassle. From cozy touches to stylish decor, it was the ideal spot for our girls/work trip. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a charming and comfortable stay!
We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Everything was top notch. It was cute, cozy, and clean! We could walk anywhere we needed...the location was perfect! The property has been restored so well. CG is lucky to have this GEM in their town!
I hate to gush about this property, Council Grove, and Lindsey ... just because I want to be able to stay here again! Beautifully decorated and incredibly clean and comfortable. A short walk to the fantastic Riverbank Brewery and Hays House Restaurant, as well as other great food options and shopping. Short drive to Manhattan and Kansas State. Can't beat it!
Fantastic rental! We loved the upstairs view of downtown Council Grove. Unit was beautiful, comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully outfitted. We appreciated ceiling fans in the bedrooms and the AC worked well. Great location too. You can walk to many things in town and the rail trail is only a few blocks away. By car I’d recommend the tall grass prairie preserve. Lindsey was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. A wonderful host! We will certainly be returning!
We had a wonderful stay at the loft. My husband grew up in Council Grove and always enjoys going back to visit. This loft overlooks Main Street which was great for him to share so many of his fond memories. There are great little shops and restaurants in walking distance as well as the river walk.
The loft was tastefully decorated and incredibly comfortable. The perfect stay in Council Grove!
The hostess was communicative and friendly!
The Crawford place is amazing! It is located above the sweetest boutique in a historic downtown building. The place is immaculate! Beds were comfy. It was the perfect place for a group of friends to get away from city life and refill. We frequented The Hays House, a historic restaurant formerly owned by Daniel Boone’s relative (& where I had the absolute best mashed potatoes!), the bookstore (where I had a lively interaction with the owner), and another little shop that served coffee, lunch, and amazing baked goods.I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a sweet place to rest and refill!
The Crowley Suite is as beautiful as it appears in photos. Spacious. Spotless. Serene. The entire process, from reserving to checking-out—was easy to follow. The location is perfect for strolling Main Street and exploring the history-rich county. Our stay in Council Grove was made perfect by our lovely accommodations.
This place is amazing! Everything was better than expected!! We will definitely stay here again next time we visit family!! Love that you can walk to all the shop in town. Very lovely time!!!
Stayed for a few days to work an event. The apartment was exceptionally clean, and well stocked. Communication and check-in were both great. The town of Council Grove itself was also fantastic. I will have to return to this area next year, and will be looking to stay at the same place.
This was the perfect place for the four of us to stay! The suite is as beautiful as the pictures show it. It is a remodeled, historic building with the charm of exposed old bricks, looking out onto the Main Street full of fun little shops and restaurants. Lindsey has an eye for interior design (she also owns the gorgeous home shop on the first floor) to make this suite comfortable and beautiful! Comfortable beds, a beautiful kitchen and powerful shower definitely make this a stop we would love to return to! Thank you, Lindsey!
My family stayed at this property for two nights while we were in the area to visit Tallgrass Prairie Preserve. It was a wonderfully convenient location, and the suite was very comfortable for our family of three. She put a lot of thought into what guests might need by providing some bathroom necessities, children's books, coffee pods, and oatmeal packets. While my kid is too old for a pack and play, as a parent I always appreciate a host that puts that much thought into what guests might need. She also provided timely communication about the check in and check out procedures, which were clear and easy to follow. Additionally, Lindsey did an excellent job rehabbing this historic property. I especially appreciate how she incorporated historic photographs and architectural salvage from the building into its decor. As for nearby amenities- The suite is located across the street from my new favorite place- Flint Hills Books- and within a short walking distance of Hays House, Watts Coffee, and Riverbank Brewing. My kid highly recommends the nearby playground located beside the Neosho Riverwalk.
An amazing apartment in the middle of Council Grove KS
My daughter, her friend and myself were here for the weekend to celebrate my daughters birthday. This is our second stay in this gorgeous loft apartment that has everything you could possibly need, including a wonderful outside seating area with a fire pit and gorgeous lighting! We enjoyed wine and nibbles one evening on the back patio, visited many shops downtown, had breakfast at the Dealership… Nibbles at the brewery… Dinner at the Hayes House, lots of time in the beautiful corner bookstore, and a trip to the Buffalo preserve!
The weekend was perfect and we got a lot done and we played board games in the evening in our apartment as we sipped cocktails. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, including a Keurig coffee maker. You won’t be disappointed when you stay here. Lindsay is a wonderful hostess. :-D

The loft is – beautiful. High ceilings, exposed brick, historic and styled with comfortable modern furnishings and pieces from its historic past. . We found the loft clean, and welcoming. Located overlooking the business district from the second floor, the property was quiet with no noticeable street noise and walking distance to Main Street shops, good food, and the river. Of note to some, there is a steep set of stairs to reach the rental. As for me, I’ve already recommended it to friends and I would rent again in a heartbeat.
Honestly I don’t know where to begin. I’ll start with what an amazing place! Right when you walk in you will be thankful you booked. Lindsey and her husband have done an AMAZING job with their two suites! We had the privilege of staying in both and both are very well decorated and provide such a cozy homey feel. All the appliances are up to date to include washer and dryers in both apartments. Everything down to the faucets really bring the whole space together. The rustic brick wall and historical photos take you back to what had been but all the updates really make you appreciate and enjoy the suite.
We stayed there for a week while on a family hunting trip and really got to enjoy our time. We grilled on the back patio and sat around the gas fire pit laughing and cutting up. The suites are right in town near restaurants, grocery store, and even a brewery.
I would 100% book these suites again! I cannot recommend staying here enough if you are looking for a place in the area. Even if it requires a little extra drive it is worth it.
