"I first stayed at this hotel in 2019, right before COVID, and it left such a strong impression that I made it a point to return years later. What stood out then still stands out now: the warmth of the staff, the charm of the property, the cozy atmosphere, and the attention to every small detail. The hotel feels like a true gem within Évora — perfectly situated, beautifully maintained, and close enough to enjoy the town while still feeling peaceful and special. The staff are genuinely helpful and welcoming, and the entire experience feels personal rather than transactional. Of all the places I visited across Spain and Portugal on my last trip, this hotel was the one that stayed with me the most. Returning here confirmed why. It has the rare quality of making you feel both at home and somewhere truly memorable. Because of this experience, I’m also looking forward to staying with the Unlock group in Lisbon and expect the same level of care and hospitality."

"Very quiet, beautiful and unique hotel. Breakfast was delicious. Grounds well kept. Staff helpful and enthusiastic. Parking good. Gym could use some heavier dumbbells but has great view. Definitely worth coming back to."

"Ive stayed there many times over a 26 year period. Its always been very good. Rooms are excellent, spacious, clean, missed the minibar being stocked but thats all. Comfortable beds, heating/air con great, lovely fluffy bath towels, great power shower. Breakfast is truly excellent buffet, English and Continental. Evening meal was part of a package arranged for my friends who were with me, and 2 nights it was frankly inedible. The restaurant relented and let them have the á la carte on the last night, but this is the reason for my 4star rating. Also Breakfast on Wednesday, 3 coach loads of Japanese tourists came in just for breakfast. Ive never seen so many Japanese outside of Japan. For guests, getting even a cup of coffee took 30 mins and forget getting a table. So this was disappointing too. But overall very good value and nice to see restaurant manager Luis still there after 29 years! "
