A week of family time at a great location

The house was clean and ready for our family to begin our annual vacation in Rockport. The pool was in great condition and fishing was good. Overall we had a wonderful stay and we plan on returning next year.

Fantastic Property

Lovely house and property. They've thought of the extras and communication with the host was fast, friendly, and thorough each time. We loved the outdoor TV, the dock, and the heated pool. We had a great time and really appreciated the recommendations for places to eat provided by the host. We would definitely stay again

A great family hangout.

Girl Cousins Rockport Trip

We had a fantastic time in Rockport. Sunshine Retreat was the perfect place to spend quality time with my girl cousins. The kitchen was well stocked, the rooms were comfortable, we enjoyed the pool and the relaxing view of the water.

Great place to stay!

We loved staying a the Sunshine Retreat. The house was clean and fully stocked with household items. It felt like we were at home. We loved the privacy and access to water. Kids loved being able to fish and swim. There were snacks for us and a special present we were happy to take home with us. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home. Perfect!

Sunshine Retreat was most definitely a treat and retreat. We were able to book last minute for family Thanksgiving. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and cookware we needed to cook a feast as well as seasonings. The sunset views were show stoppers, beds were very comfortable. It was a cold windy few days but the home was cozy and already decorated for Christmas. We will definitely return!

Relaxing Trip

We'd visited Rockport in the summer, but never in the winter. The owner was very responsive throughout our trip, from booking to check-out. The house was spotless when we arrived, and we appreciated the welcome snacks. The kitchen was well-stocked with seasonings, pots, and utensils. We weren't sure if the heated pool would be worth it, but it definitely was! My family and I enjoyed watching the football games while relaxing in the pool. Overall, it was a great spot for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Weekend at Sunrise Retreat

We loved our stay at Sunrise. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking /serving. Amazing house and hosts!

Our family loves Sunshine Retreat for the memories we make here each summer. The house is always immaculately clean and we always have everything we need during our stay there. We literally just pack our clothes and go! A quick stop at the local H-E-B and we are all set for fun. The pool is awesome, the dock is great to fish under the lights at night, and the internet and tv keep everyone happy when it’s time to relax inside. Overall, a great place to enjoy time with family!

Stay at Sunshine Resort

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunshine resort. The house is very well taken care of, enjoyed the warm water(heated) pool, green lights on the fishing dock. There is plenty of seating thru ought the house both inside and out. Unfortunately we did not have any luck on the fishing side. There was a cold front that blew in the day we arrived and threw everything off: water level, wind. This is nothing that can be controlled. We will be back for a future stay.

Highly recommend and would stay again

Fantastic long weekend at this beautiful house in Rockport. It was very centrally located and convenient. The house came stocked with all the basics and the hosts went above and beyond by ensuring there were thing such as coffee filters, spices, and extra trashbags! We've stayed in many rentals and have never had that personal touch. It really stood out and made our stay that much more relaxing. While there, we had a hiccup with the pool. The host responded to my text immediately and had the issue resolved by the time we returned from lunch. It further demonstrated their attention to detail and hospitality. 5/5, 10/10, would absolutely stay here again and will highly recommend to anyone I know visiting the area!

Lovely house!

This house was like new: big gorgeous kitchen with large island, two king bedrooms that were good sized, with another bedroom with bunk beds. There is an ensuite master bath and a shared bath. The shared bath was huge and gorgeous, with two sinks. Kristen and the property manager were lovely, answering our questions quickly and coming by to fix a TV. There are four TVs! Great decor. I highly recommend paying the extra fee for heating the pool, especially if the weather is not hot. It was wonderful! Thus was the most well-stocked property we have ever seen, it has everything you might need.

Pefect Place

We had a very good time staying at Sunshine Retreat. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The communication with Kristen was smooth and prompt, making the booking process hassle-free. The space was very clean and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view of Salt Lake from back porch is amazing. The cold front arrived during our stay, therfore, we did not use kayaks or spent as much time outdoors as we would like. There was a technical issue with the pool heater when we arrived, however, Kristen, kept us informed about the attempts to repair and promptly reimbursed pool fee after discovering the repair will take longer than expected. We visited few local dining places and discovered that quality of food in Paradise Key was very dissapointing, however, PIK-NIK breakfast place was simply amazing. We also enjoyed Frank's Spaghetti House in Corpus Christi and their complementary glass of wine. Overall, our experience was nothing short of amazing. We highly recommend Kristen's place for the stay in the area.
