Love, love, love.
This property was an absolute dream. The house was gorgeous and had every amenity you could think of. The location and the view of the ocean was breathtaking. We saw dolphins and the horses came right up to the house on more than one occasion! Even the beach driving was a fun experience that I already miss. Will happily book at the Seashine in the years to come.

Perfect Beach Vacation Spot!
The location and house were perfect. The host was easy to work with and very responsive to all questions. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing week at the beach. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well-equipped, and there was plenty of deck seating for relaxing and eating. The reclining couches and chairs in the den were well-used during our nightly movie marathons. There is a lovely walkway with steps down to the beach, including a large gazebo and seating. My ten-year-old loved all the pool and beach toys that were available. There are tons of beach chairs and umbrellas for use as well. You cannot begin to imagine the expansive ocean views, daily dolphin sightings, or the occasional wild horses grazing in the yard (or taking a peek inside the downstairs window). This was our first time driving on a 4x4 beach. We came prepared for the worst-case scenario of getting stuck in the sand, but we did fine. It was quite an adventure, and my husband had a ball doing it. We saw so many wild horses up in the dunes or down at the water - too cool. It's a perfect beach vacation spot, and I highly recommend it.

Great property
This is a great property and we had an awesome time. The house is as advertised. Access to the beach was unique as other properties nearby didn't have this as easily. Seeing the horses was fun and unique. Driving on the beach was exciting the first time but it resulted in a need for planning as trips into town took 45 minutes (one way) - you need 4x4 drive. If you're not adventurous you would not want to stay at this property.

Stunning Location
We had a lovely 4 week stay at the Seashine house. The location was amazing and gorgeous, directly oceanfront with a private walk to the beach. The wild horses walked the yard and beach almost everyday!

Carova Beach Vacation
Our stay at The Seashine in Carova Beach was much much better than expected! This is a lovely home in a beautiful and secluded area of the Outer Banks. We saw the wild Spanish Mustangs every day of our visit which is an amazing experience. We also saw dolphins and the shelling was outstanding. The Seashine was incredibly clean and inviting, and Petra was so attentive to any question. We are already looking forward to another visit in the future! Thank you Petra for sharing your beautiful home with us. You are a wonderful host!

Serene & Relaxation
We had a wonderful time with our family. Our gradchildren were in AWE with the horses and the ocean! We enjoyed the games and puzzles. The house was very well equiped with everything you could need . It was very relaxing. I will definitely stay here again.

Stunning home!
Absolutely gorgeous home on the ocean! This home was perfect for a family gathering for my dad's 85th birthday. On the cold rainy day no one minded being "stuck" inside b/c the house is so large and open with huge windows looking right over the ocean. My dad had a blast driving the 10 miles in on the sand-a lifetime first!

Great Getaway!
Lovely home on the oceanfront with a great layout. Wonderful windows all along the east and west sides provide great views of the beach and morning sunrises and evening sunsets. The wild horses walk right along the beach in front of the house. Enjoyed the amenities and features of the home. The nooks were perfect for reading or playing games. It's a wonderful spot on the 4 x4!

The house was amazing! The view was better than in the pictures.
We really enjoyed the house. The set up of the house gave everybody a little privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything. I loved the extra towels and stuff that was provided. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. The views we woke up to every morning was absolutely priceless. Loved the wild horses that came up to the house.

Perfection
We have been staying at various properties in the Outer Banks for about a decade. This property is the best we have ever stayed at. The location on the beach if phenomenal, the amenities in the house are expansive, the communication from the owner was timely and accurate and the house was in immaculate condition. The only thing to be prepared for is the 45-minute drive from the nearest grocery store to the house -- and to make sure you have a 4WD not AWD vehicle. One more tip: the free air fill-up station is FAST and helpful for deflating/inflating tires before driving on the beach. Thank you for the stay. We will be back!!

Great Stay At SeaShine
The house is well designed and well equipped. In fact, the quality of the items in the kitchen is the best we have experienced in our many stays at other houses. The 10 mile drive over the sands to get to the house is a little tricky but well worth the effort. Frequent sighting of wild horses while driving on the beach was a nice feature. The host was very prompt in answering question and correct any problems we encounter. My daughters and their families were unanamous in their praise of the stay.

Great Property
The house is beautiful, the location is unique & beautiful. The host is very timely in her response & is very accommodating. The only problem we experienced is with the internet for a couple of days but that is to be expected for such a unique location. Traveling on the sand for such a long distance is no joke so be aware of high tide times. It is truly a beautiful place to experience & the host is wonderful. Rmundy

Thank you very much for your kind review. It's much appreciated. You have been excellent guests Thank you for leaving the property so clean. As to the Internet, it is usually reliable, but I see now that recent repairs have upset the service. We are working with the company technicians to fully restore it. The drive on the sand, on the other hand, can be very exciting, especially when driving so close to the waves. If the shore is uneven, after a storm or unusually high tide, it's best to take Sandfiddler Rd for most of the drive--I've written on this in the Driving Info document we usually send with the agreement. The county is grading and maintaining this road.
