Fantastic rental, disappointing booking experience
We rented a brand new vacation house (M853: Just Horsin Around) that had the ideal location in Corolla, NC! It was short drive to the beach with plenty of parking. We were also close to cute shops and restaurants. There was a grocery store close by so we had the option to cook meals at the house as well. The kitchen was nicely stocked with pots, pans and other cooking essentials. We also used the grill one night at the house.
The whole house was decorated beautifully and we had plenty of space for everyone to spread out to do various activities. The communication ahead of our arrival and the keyless entry made for a streamlined check in and check out process.
The pool and hot tub were ideal for our family when we had enough beach time for the day. They also had beach chairs at the house and a small sun shade that we utilized all week. That saved us from renting these things during our stay.
The only negative thing about our stay was our booking experience on VRBO. The listing advertised a military discount. We booked over the weekend while Village Realty was closed. We did not want to lose the house, so we called VRBO to confirm we could book and still be credited the discount. We were advised to book. When we reached out Village Realty during business hours, we were told they could not credit us the discount since we already booked on VRBO. It was very disappointing that we were poorly advised by VRBO and that Village Realty didn’t make it right by us.
