"Location is amazing. The area is so charming. The place is in easy walking distance to the shore. It is also in walking distance to the Grotta Mangiapane - the famous caves of the region that are stunning to see. Great restaurants in the area with local cuisine. Federica was a fantastic host. She was responsive throughout our stay. The place has great amenities and is perfect for a family. Highly recommend!"

Marcello. your host, is super helpful and speaks fluent English. I was unlucky with the weather as it was rainy and cold. While the house has heating, I didn’t know it was not included in the price. In an effort to stay within my budget I remained uncomfortably cold. Also the ‘hot water’ was only lukewarm. E40 cleaning fee was also added. I was disappointed in these extra charges. If you’re ok with these extra charges, I highly recommend Villa Makda. "

"The pool is wonderful, with a beautiful view and access to a small private beach, which is small but very charming. Breakfast is varied and good. The hotel has great potential due to its location and structure. However, it lacks management and attention to detail. Upon arrival, we entered through a large gate leading to a courtyard with several doors, but there were no signs indicating where the reception or parking was located, nor were there staff available to welcome or guide guests. Signage inside the hotel is also poor, and even finding the main restaurant was difficult. The service is very basic, with no warmth or friendliness, which does not match the standards expected of a resort. Our room was on the second floor, accessible only by a narrow and steep external staircase, which was very inconvenient with heavy luggage. At the pool, although the area is pleasant, there were no towels available, and we had to walk all the way to the reception, which was far away, to get them. On one morning, the music was excessively loud and not appropriate for a relaxing atmosphere. In addition, the pool bathrooms had plastic structures, including the walls, which felt makeshift and not up to resort standards. Overall, this hotel has great potential, but it clearly lacks professional management and attention to detail to truly match the level expected of a resort."
