Gorgeous property in a quaint town. The owner must be a plant enthusiast-the patio and surrounding area of the property were gorgeously done. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend.

Definitely did not live up to the property ratings on Expedia. Massively overpriced for what is essentially a basic property. Rooms were adequate but very basic, albeit clean. The property is adequate (2.5 stars) with the back terrace and breakfast service bringing it up to 3 stars.

Good sized basic room,very clean and with good quality bedding. Private balcony with lovely views and a nice patio sitting area. Excellent breakfast. Convenient for the centre. Really good value.

Blanca was amazing she went above and beyond to help she made our reservations at luna jaguar, recommended a great restaurant cafe via via, and was nice enough to let us put my father in laws insulin in the fridge. The room waa very clean and it was a great price i think we had the best room with a balcony in the front 😊 AC worked very well and my favorite HOT water! Almost stayed at Hacienda San Lucas but im glad we didn't this hotel is in a very good area with easy walking access to restaurants and stores with typical honduran clothing, purses, jewelry, etc. Highly recommend.

Is a really good place, the rooms are clean, comfortable beds, good views, the attention is excellent, delicious breakfast. If I go back to Copan ruins, I no doubt to stay in LA escalinata.

Staying here with an excellent choice. Ms. Escobar's hospitality was excellent, always attentive to our needs. She is very kind lady. Highly recommend and I will come again.

The sheets on one bed were dirty, they had a bad smell of pipi, there were no towels in my room, the soap that was used and full of hair and it was not soap, they were bits of recycled soap. Attention well, the owner is a bit pedantic, kind but forcibly.

Que Dios te bendiga, no soy de las personas que no discutiria con alguien Como tu, yo se que todo esto es un intento de maldad porque Se te nota en tu apariensia la clase de persona que eres se perfectamente que este mensaje no fue escrito por el cliente, desafortunadamente este senor Pago la habitacion de esta mujer que se molesto commigo porque a cada momento queria que lesirvieramos Cafe con pan de gratis, esta mujer lo que busca en este turista es sacarle todo lo que se puede Para beneficio de ella solamente cpmo acostumbran muchas personas. Yo se que este review no fue escrito por el senor Mizufune si no por esta mujer que lo acompanaba, ojo con ella senor ,porque aqui quien dejo la habitacion con las sabanas llenas de pipi fue ella ya que trajo a su nino y Seguramente fue quien se hiso pipi y lo esta usando en contra del hotel, pero yo te bendigo que Dios te guarde, porque cada persona receive lo que da, yo e aprendido a no dejar que personas como tu me amarguen la vida, porque Dios es el jues de Jueces.

Owner is a very interesting lady who is developing the property in the heart of the old town, with a beautiful garden area looking out on the country in transition. Room is spartan but clean and double beds are good. Breakfast was all made from “scratch”; excellent pancakes!

Management was awesome!
We highly recommend this hotel. The management assisted with all the things to see and do in Copan, helped arrange transportation to our next stop, and was overall really informative and helpful. Rooms are clean with ac and WiFi. Perfect for backpackers.

Great location, great value!
The hotel is good, breakfast was good, great location and super friendly staff. The roosters and dogs will keep you awake but that is not the hotels fault :-)

It was wonderful! Sounded like there was a zoo outside, but that was not the fault of the hotel. Just a lot of animals in the area making noise, but it wasn't too bad with the air conditioning on.

Buena Vista a Copán
There may be an exceptional view of the hills of Copán from the balconies of Hotel La Escalinata, but the superb, clean rooms and the more than substantial breakfasts make the view’s celebration both more peaceful and beautiful. Blanca is a host with a particularly sensitive understanding of what folks need – particularly on their first night’s visit to Copán Ruinas. This hotel is up the hill from town, so there is no need for stair-walking gym work. However, once you arrive you realize you’ve arrived at a place of grace, good desayuno, and a gorgeous view of the Honduras hillsides. You’ve come to the right place. Blanca is a gem.

Nicest and most efficient owner ever
The owner/operator of this hotel is a really nice woman. She gave me local information and directions and served as a translator for me when I had to have a rather complicated exchange with the phone company. She was always ready to help and advise and booked a daytrip for me. The breakfasts were great, the view from my room was excellent and my room was comfortable. It was also a nice short hike uphill to get there or one could also use a 'taxi' for very little. I stayed for two nights.

A must stay in Copan.
Bed and Breakfast Hotel. Very relaxing. Nice neighborhood. Local family groceries a few feet away. Market and Local Crafts a few blocks away. Nice walks around town. Delicious local and international restaurants a few block away. Very economical area. Hotel was a great value. Breakfast was wonderful and different each morning.

My trip was unexpectedly delayed for one day but the staff was terrific in handling the situation. If you are going to Copan to see the ruins or explore the other sites in the beautiful Copan valley, I highly recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed my stay!
Excellent location with great views of the city of Copan Ruinas and the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was very good with a different variety each day. Wifi worked well. Constant supply of hot or cold water in a large bottled container in the lobby area. Owner was very helpful and friendly.

I only stayed 2 nights in copan.. After the first nights stay at this hotel I wanted to stay longer. Beautiful views in the more quieter part of town . The breakfast was the best I've had while traveling in Honduras . Anyone traveling thru this area needs to experience the comfort and hospitality This hotel provides. Thanks Blanca!

Nice hotel with a good view of the trees and hills
The owner was friendly and smiles a lot. Most helpful in confirming my onward arrangements in San Pedro Sula. I had no adapter to charge my camera's battery. Owner suggested that I visit the shop called "video 2000". They had the right adapter, which made me a very happy soul. Every afternoon, the owner enquired about my day's activity. At least, she took an interest. The owner has spent 25 years in the US, so can speak English.

Great base in Copan!
Great little hotel with amazing views in Copan. If you are looking for the Ritz this is not the spot but if you want a clean, secure, comfy spot with good hot water and WIFI look no further. Blanca is a fantastic host and went well beyond to help us with any requests.

We stayed here for Semana Santa and had a great time. The owner/manager and her staff were very friendly and accomodated all our need. The rooms were exactly as described and the patio views were beautiful. Breakfast was prepared fresh each day and we enjoyed the food. The manager helped us arrange a really nice horseback ride that we also enjoyed. No A/C in the rooms, but a nice breeze kept things cool during the evening.

La Escalinata, Copan Ruinas
Very pleased with my stay at La Escalinata, friendly welcoming owner, Blanca, who speaks Spanish and English having lived in the US for a while. Choice of rooms when I arrived, both with exterior balconies with extensive views, rooms have ceiling fan and aircon and are very spacious. Big bathroom with constant hot water. Hotel is situated just above town with views down to the central park and church, only a couple of minutes walk down, but uphill coming back. Good breakfast with choice dishes, free wifi with good signal strength, and if you have a car there is a gated driveway at the side.

Muchas gracias por su comentario, pero quiero recalcar que los desayunos se sirven de 7:00 A.M. a 9:00 A.M.,si el haberle negado el desayuno incluido que usted pidio a las 11:00A.M.,hace que usted piense que fue decepcionante su estadía en este hotel, y el haver tenido que decirles que a las 12:00 del mediodía es el check out porque no desocupaban la habitación, si eso hiso que el hotel fuera decepcionante para usted, pues lo siento mucho,pero todos los hoteles tienen sus reglas y la housekiper tiene que tener el tiempo suficiente para hacear la habitación después que hacen el chek out ,ya que sería antihijienico entregarle la habitación sucia al los huéspedes que entraran a esa misma habitación. Siento mucho el inconveniente de que planeaban dormir todo el día sin tener que pagar extra por eso.LO SIENTO MUCHO.

BUEN PAISAJE
Es un hotel muy bonito, acogedor, creo que atendido por su propietaria. La zona es tranquila, pero un poco empinada para llegar con maletas y no es central, queda un poco alejado de la plaza, pero eso lo hace tranquilo. La habitación es amplia, dotada de ventilador y aire acondicionado. Cama y almohadas permiten un buen descanso, ducha amplia con agua caliente. Disfruté de unos buenos desayunos, plato del dia. Algo que si falta en el hotel, es el café de cortesía, no fueron capaces de brindarnos uno, y eso son detalles que enamoran. El hotel cuenta con varios niveles, es delicioso sentarse a conversar en su balcón y patio de abajo.

ホッとできるカジュアルなホテルです。
一人でシングルに泊まりました。2階の部屋は角部屋で、小さなバルコニーからは森と山が見えます。天気であれば夕焼けがとてもきれい。雨季だったので、最初の日はきれいでしたが翌日からは霧がかかった別の風景でした（これも悪くはありません）。シャワーのお湯も十分に熱いですし量もあります。ベッドは程よい幅で普通。でも、2台あるので荷物を置いたり整理したりするのに便利でした。 朝食は１階のテラスで摂ります。正面は西向きですが、横から朝陽が少し差し込み眩しい感じです。ホンジュラスの定番料理（フリホーレス、スクランブルエッグ、チーズ、トルティーヤ）をベースにして、ちょっとしたアレンジが加えられていて美味しい。これにジュースかコーヒーが付きます。飲料水は1階に大きな水サーバーが置いてあるので、いつでも飲むことができますし、ペットボトルに汲むこともできました。ホテルオーナーの女性は沖縄に行ったことがあり、日本に対して親近感を持ってくれています。玄関ではシーサーが出迎えてくれました。

Muy buena opción en Copán
Todo muy bien....no era nuestra primera opción pero resultó ser muy agradable y justo. La persona a cargo hizo lo posible por acomodarnos de acuerdo a nuestras necesidades. El lugar limpio y bien mantenido.
