Great relaxation
We loved sitting out on the balcony watching the birds and the waves rolling onto the beach! We also checked out the stars at night whilst sipping wine 😀 The property is well catered for and perfectly comfortable. The balcony just needs a little TLC. We had an absolutely relaxing cruisey weekend, just what we needed. Would stay again!

Shared driveway was too narrow for an SUV. Otherwise brilliant once there. Copacabana beach was fantastic for a surf. Clean beach and great coffee place and croissants. 👍

Thanks for the review. Shared driveway is 3.3m wide and has to allow for construction trucks so any vehicle can get there. If you have a large SUV, it can take some manoeuvring into the carport but has been done many times.

Quiet relaxing stay
The house is located high on the hill with views to the beach. We drove to the beach as the return trip would be quite a climb. It was lovely to sit on the balcony to watch the sun set each evening and the umbrellas were a welcome touch. It's also a short walk to Captain Cook Lookout for some ocean whale watching. The property is very quiet and private and welcoming for our dog. John was great to deal with and very responsive.

Beautiful view in a peaceful location
Cosy, clean and comfortable, this house has everything you need and a great view of the beach. It’s also just a short walk from one of the best whale watching lookouts on the central coast! So much to do in the surrounding areas with national parks, lakes and ocean all around. The owner was great to deal with and went to a lot of trouble to make sure we had no problems finding or accessing the property.

Comfortable and clean cottage with lovely outlook
Title says it all. Well maintained older 3 bedroom cottage. Spacious and light filled. Great views south over treetops to beach. Ideal if you prefer to self cater, excellent supply of cooking tools and essentials. Up a steep hill so walking to & from beach could be problamatic, we decided to take the short drive to the beach. Well stocked fuel fire available for the colder months as well as efficient a/c for heating. Recommended

Charming home with a beautiful view
Perfect for a smaller group or family, this lovely home has everything you would want and the view is the best part. It's up in the hilly area - hence the views. Not an easy walk back from the beach, I think you'd just drive. Safe for your well behaved dog, however for very small dogs I would supervise them on the deck area, the balcony could be squeezed through. Local beach has a dogs welcome area in the middle. Note the ensuite has no door from the master bedroom, no problem for us. We followed the clear instructions from our host to find the property down a steep drive, parking right outside the door and only 5 steps inside the property altogether, for anyone less mobile. Loved this property, would happily book again.

Beautiful secluded holiday rental w fabulous beach views
The view was sublime, and the kitchen well equipped. A couple of different areas to sit and a dining table sitting 8. The beds were comfy and the master w own bathroom and balcony with a beach view. Not fancy but very comfy and homely and had everything you needed including a compost bin! My group had a wonderful time and for the money I thought it was just great.

Peaceful, picturesque, almost perfect
The main bothersome/disappointing aspect was the discovery that there was no door or screen of any kind separating the ensuite bathroom from the master bedroom. This was not made clear in the photos or the listing, and made the second toilet essentially unusable for us.

Amazing views
Communication was clear and concise, check in was very easy and the flexibility with check out made our weekend away so much more relaxing. The place itself is so beautiful, the photos don't do it justice, we were already talking about coming back again during our stay. The walk to the beach and restaurants was nice and hilly, about 15 minutes or so, after our first day we preferred to save the time and just drive 3 minutes instead.

Tranquil space with ocean views
A lovely place to stay. The host was lovely and provided the 4th night free. The house met all our needs and was a great space for our little dogs too. Parking is a bit tricky if you have more than one car at the property. We would definately stay again!

Stunning picturesque view
Being able to sit indoors in the open living plan with stunning treetop views looking out to the ocean breaking on the beach was just breathtaking. More than I had expected. Just perfect. Neat, clean, cooked and ate at home. Perfect. I would stay again.

Wonderful view and spacious comfortable accomodation
Interesting finding the location, but once there it was easy. Quiet location with lots of natural bush and bird life. House is very spacious with everything you could want. Lovely atmosphere and fabulous view. John was very helpful and patient when we needed to contact him. We will be eager to return.

We really enjoyed out stay here. Our dogs loved the deck and enclosed yard and our daily walks to the beach were great. The fireplace was great on cold nights and there are many basic provisions in the kitchen. Thank you John you are a great host.

Fantastic house, great view
Perfect house for a family with rooms set back on a mezzanine level and then opening up into an open plan space with the kitchen, dining and loungeroom that takes advantage of the expansive view of the beach, along with a wrap around balcony that leads to the lovely garden at the front of the house. Really enjoyed our stay, so incredibly relaxing.

Great location
This property is in an excellent location. It has a commanding view over Copacabana beach and further south to MacMasters. The shops and access to the beach is about 20 minutes walk away, where breakfast is available. The property is quite spacious and had everything we needed.

We enjoyed our time in Copacabana - it was so relaxing. The house has lovely views, easy access to the beach and local shops (cafe burnt honey serves excellent coffee and baked goods). The house was very comfortable, enjoyed the opportunity to sit and watch the wood heater during the autumn evenings. John was always very responsive and made booking and check-in/out process very easy.

Wonderful pet friendly stay
We absolutely loved the house - affectionately called the tree house given the back deck sits above the tree tops. Our stay was very comfortable for our family with 4 and our dog. We also were magically blessed with an amazing stretch of weather, making it easy to enjoy the beach and adjoining areas. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you!

Some hardwood outdoor furniture weathered but not dirty and there’s plenty of cushions provided. In 20 years of renting have never had anyone complain about neighbours being too close, in fact houses either side occupied by quiet couples.

Great views, very comfortable
Copa beach house is spacious, airy and comfortably furnished. It had all we needed for cooking and bbqing. The balconies, living areas and master bedroom have views across the beach. Sunset viewing was superb. Dog friendly. Loved it.

Great family spot
John was very communicative during our (unfortunately!) wet and windy stay - sadly not beach or walking weather. Really appreciated having the fireplace ready to go for a cosy night and having a compost bin to minimise waste.

Lovely pet friendly house with a great view
We had a great stay at the Copa Beach House. The house is comfortable and well laid out with a fantastic view. Our beagles also liked the secure backyard. Location is very convenient for Copacabana and Avoca among other places.

We had a lovely stay! The description was very accurate, the views absolutely stunning, short walk (20mins) to copacaba center with all the restaurants/cafes and beach. Dog friendly with a small garden too The place has everything you need and a lovely fire place which is perfect for the evening! Communication with the owners was great too and they were so accommodating! Can’t recommend enough

Really enjoyed our stay in Copacabana. The view from the deck is really superb. Great house; very comfortable with everything you'd need, including a fire for chilly nights. It's a 15 minute walk to the beach, probably 20 mins back up the hill. Copa beach is lovely and good for dogs. Great Italian by the beach too. Definitely recommended.

Perfect getaway
I came here with my husband, mother and baby girl and had a wonderful time. It felt like a home away from home. Definitely recommend coming here. The view on the balcony was lovely as we had most of our meals out there. The kitchen is well stocked with all utensils and cooking pots and pans. The weather was perfect and the water temp was so nice. I would happily stay here again.

Great spot for family and our 2 dogs.
+ves : Generally quiet ; well-ventilated house; great place to time-out from the 'rush'. Generally, neighbours were cordial. Good spot to various beaches and coastal suburbs. Fantastic spots where dogs were allowed, inc Strickland Forest. Recommend for family and pet dogs to 'chill out' esp. on balcony overlooking the beach. -ves: Unfortunately, the days we picked , was 'blemished' by roadworks ( heavy trucks going up & down the narrow streets ; & our 1st morning , when workmen ( working on next door vacant land) was inconsiderately chatting quite loudly for 2.30 hrs (from 0615-0845) before drilling commence for several hours.[Inconsiderate for neighbours, let alone for us]. Tight parking spot which we could only manage to park 1 SUV; and the 2nd SUV up the road. Next time, perhaps driving up with 2 smaller vehicles!!! (Did not spoil our break).

Sorry you were disturbed for 3 hours of your stay with building noise. I understood that work was only to start again in May. I have been very aware of this and in fact block out mid-week bookings when it is going on. There are road works in Copa and some deviations but they are not close to the house. The limited parking is mentioned in the description. It is adequate for 2 cars.

Definitely worth it
Overall the properties we stayed at were great. Cleaning could be a little more detailed ie blinds, etc. But John was an awesome host and accommodated our extra needs when we needed to stay in the area longer than expected due to floods.

We had a great city get away in copacabana. We loved the fact we could bring our dog with us .The Beach views are great and its a 10-15 minute walk away. It was a very quiet place to stay.

Peaceful with a wonderful view
Very clean with amazing views of the beach, kind of felt like looking at a rainforest from your balcony. The only let down for us was the weather. The storm was very noisy and the beds are a little old so weren't the most comfortable for us (pregnant women). In the main bedroom I felt like I was sinking in and struggled to sleep well. Overall a great little getaway.

My partner, our small dog and myself really enjoyed staying at this lovely Copa property. Perched up high, the views of the beach, treetops and excellent sunsets are just beautiful, and we saw some colourful birds whilst relaxing on the back deck. The house is very comfortable with everything we needed, very private and quiet, and perfect for our small dog with a completely enclosed deck and small grassy yard. The cosy fireplace was also really nice to have, as we had some cold rainy weather during our stay. It is a bit of a steep walk to and from the beach, but a very quick drive. John was a great host and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back, loved it!

Wonderful location
We had a restorative week in this lovely property, with splendid views over the valley and beach, and beautiful walks through bushland further up the hill. The house is peaceful and quiet, with a well-stocked kitchen and plentiful firewood to keep the house warm on those chilly nights (we had a last gasp of winter on our first night before glorious spring weather which had us eating on the verandah). A haven of quietude and beauty.

This was a second return to the property. Spotlessly clean again with the wonderful bush/beach views. The kitchen had every necessity as well as the finer details. Everyone was comfortable with enough space to escape to a private area inside or out if desired. The weekend was topped off by wonderful spring weather and great bush walks north and south. Lovely short break!
This is a lovely house that has been beautifully cared for and presented. It feels very homely. The views are absolutely amazing and we loved using the real fire. We hope to visit again soon maybe in the summer time. Thankyou for a great stay!
