    The Federal House & Apartments is a perfect location for a large group or family gathering. For those playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park you will have everything you need within a short distance. The house is only 1 mile from the park and a block away from the grocery store, McDonalds and more. The Baseball Hall of Fame, The Farmers’ Museum, The Fenimore Art Museum, restaurants, shops and Otsego Lake are all just minutes away in The Village of Cooperstown. It is also conveniently located near the famed New York Beverage Trail, with Brewery Ommegang, Red Shed Brewery and Cooperstown Brewery all located within a 4 mile radius.



    The main Federal House is a historic, 5-bedroom, two-story home built in 1814. It was remodeled in 2003, adding modern amenities such as central air conditioning and a large in ground swimming pool. This entertainment-oriented home sits on over 5 acres of land and features a updated country kitchen, dining room with table for 12, living room, game room, pool and patio. There are 5 bedrooms in the Main Federal House including a 1st floor primary suite with full bathroom. Original features such as tall ceilings and extra wide hardwood plank floors are still evident throughout this beautiful house.



    The Federal house property also has an apartment duplex in a separate building, built in 2004. Each apartment is 2 levels with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each has a fully equipped kitchen and living room with large screen TV and TVs in each bedroom. The apartments have a large deck off the back with outdoor seating and a gas grill and balconies off the bedrooms.



    The Federal House & Apartments share the use of the pool, the fire pit and the large flat lawn, great for yard games with your group. Group lodging doesn't get much better than this! With the owner's prior approval, one well supervised team party is allowed when renting The house and the apartments together.

Great location

Apartment #2 was a nice space for my Family and parents. The kids loved the pool and the older kids loved playing wiffle ball in the large backyard. Right down the street from Dreams Park making it convenient going back and forth to fields. Owners are quick to respond which was appreciated.

Awesome!!

This was the PERFECT spot for our group! We had plenty of room and we were close to everything!!! The grandparents stayed in the apartments and the parents all stayed in the house! We had a BIG area for the kids to play and the pool was a hit!! We had plenty of room to relax…I think the best part was definitely the location!! If we had an issue or concern, the hosts responded within seconds and addressed our concerns quickly! We loved our stay!

Amazing Stay

Our stay at Federal House was absolutely wonderful! The location was amazing and made it easy for everyone in our group to enjoy the area. Parking was plentiful and convenient for all of our families, which was a huge plus. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was stellar and quickly became a favorite gathering spot. We also loved the backyard—it gave us extra space for baseball and family fun outside. This is truly a beautiful home that helped create so many lasting memories for our family and friends. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend Federal House to anyone looking for a special getaway!

There needs to be some option for AC (portable units) in the upstairs. It is way too hot. Also, there was no extra toilet paper and we had to purchase our own.
