DAVINAS - Beach-front Holiday Apartment

The apartment is located right on Coopers beach, elevated enough to see the incredible views across Doubtless Bay with a very short walk across the lawn straight onto the golden sand beach.

Located underneath the main house with its own private entrance; there are three bedrooms with 5 beds, one bathroom and a great deck to enjoy the views!
The apartment has a full kitchen and seated dining area, a BBQ or try the many nearby cafes and restaurants.

Kayaks, bodyboards and a paddleboard are available for sea-lovers, or stay on terra-firma and be king of the sand-castles, building your sand-mansion in the shade of the pohutukawa trees.

Coopers Beach Village (3min drive) has all the essentials for your holiday including a Four Square, Butcher, Beach Box Cafe, Thirsty Liquor, Pharmacy, Tackle Shop, Medical Centre and hair salon.

Or head in the other direction to Mangonui Village for arts and crafts, fabulous ice-cream shop (c'mon ice-cream nachos!), restaurants and cafes including the famous Mangonui Fish Shop.

Mill Bay boat ramp is 3 min drive - bring your boat and explore the harbour!

Davinas on the Beach is the perfect base to explore the Far North:
Day trip to Cape Reinga, Te Paki stream, 90 Mile Beach.
Explore the Kerikeri, Whangaroa, Paihia.

David and Ina (Davinas) built this property as their forever home. A special place to enjoy their retirement fishing, swimming, and spending time with friends and family. They added the unit downstairs to host their children and grandchildren for school holidays, birthdays and Christmas to make incredible memories at the beach as a family.

David and Ina loved sharing their little piece of paradise with people from all over the world so that people could create their own memories at Coopers Beach.

Their son, Brett now looks after the property and will be your Host during your stay.

Modern, clean flat in a great location

A really great place to stay. The flat has everything you need and a beautiful view of the beach and the sea. Just a short walk, can be mostly on the beach, to the Cooper's Beach shops.

Perfect location

Couldn't have been happier with our stay at Davinas Coopers Beach. Such a beautiful idyllic location. Great fishing off the rocks too! My daughter left her watch behind and the host kindly posted it to us. Could not recommend this place enough :)

Fabulous stay

A stunning immaculate property with fabulous views. Use of kayaks and paddle board and a short walk to a very nice beach. The house is in a great location with restaurants and shops close by. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

Perfect Beach Holiday Getaway

The location was perfect in terms of access to the beach, shops, very peaceful setting and good springboard to other locations of interest in the area. The beds seemed a bit dated and could be upgraded to accommodate 2 couples. Overall we loved our stay there.

Loved having use of kayaks such a bonus . Proximity to Whangaroa Golf Club was great Super affordable course. Comfortable bed and everything we needed was to hand in Cable Bay. Shout out to Cable Bay butcher shop, great store.

Relaxing beach-front paradise

Davina’s is an awesome 3-bedroom apartment, with all the amenities of home. It is ideal for singles, couples or the whole family. Fabulous sea views and a short, easy walk down to gorgeous Coopers Beach. Thank you for being dog-friendly.

We had a great stay at Davinas! The place is spotless and so close to the beach. The electric blankets on all of the beds were appreciated. Check in is easy. The shower hass particularly good pressure. Communication with the host was top notch Thanks so much!

What a superb location, beautiful view and lush gardens with a 1 minute walk to the beach! Peaceful and cool shaded deck which is wonderful on a hot day. Very well maintained facility with everything you need, can’t wait to come back again soon

Amazing location

A weekend getaway

Pros: unbeatable location, deck with a beautiful view and bbq, a lot of space, well appointed kitchen and bathroom, very friendly and accommodating hosts.Cons: very soft (and/or old) mattress and uncomfortable pillows (strongly suggest upgrading the bedding); one can hear footsteps and people talking/ moving furniture upstairs - not a lot of privacy.Overall, good for a couple of nights, but we would not stay longer.

Lovely holiday home close to beach and local services - cafe, supermarket, butcher, etc. Gated deck area is a bonus for anyone traveling with a toddler, great range of books available that cater to a wide range of interests and ages, and the view from deck is the cherry on top.

Great Place to Stay

The stay was so nice. The accommodations very nice and extremely comfortable. The view from the porch was so relaxing and then a walk in the grass to the beach. If you want to relax and feel and home at the same time I highly recommend staying with Lisa and Brett. Lisa provided excellent suggestion on places to go and even gave us suggestions of places to see or stop at on the way up to their place. Hospitality at its finest.

A place to relax!

Very happy we found this gem in the Far North. 1 minute walk to a great family beach, beautiful views, a great base to explore Northland. The bach is the lower floor of a larger house but very private and well appointed. We would love to come back!

Great get away with friends

We loved exploring the whole area with our friends. 15 years since we’ve been here but it is still just as stunning - will definitely visit again. Brett and Lisa were excellent hosts and super responsive. Everything was exactly as stated and the views are magic!

Cable Bay work trip

We travelled up to rebrand the Cable Bay Store Brett made the process very easy and fitted in with us when we had to move a day to suit. The house was awesome to chill out in after a long day at work. Nice and relaxing with awesome views. Cheers Brett.
