Very roomy and comfortable accommodations, kitchen well stocked. The views from the decks and kitchen are breathtaking, location was perfect for our group. Close to lake access and hiking trails, not far from restaurants around the lake. Host was responsive and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay here!
The property was exactly what we expected from the listing. The location was beautiful with plenty of space from the neighbors that you felt like it was a true getaway. Amazing views of the lake, saw some deer in the mornings, and overall very happy with all the amenities. Would definitely book again!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book it again in the future. It was clean, comfortable, large, has a convenient location, and offers incredibly views of the lake. The only drawback, and it is a big one, is needing to take all of our trash with us when we leave. That was highly irregular and difficult for us to manage.
Overall the place was great. Lots of room for the 9 women. There was some concern about conserving water, which all in all is a good thing. But there would be a charge if we used to much and we didn't have a way to monitor our usage. I think we did okay- but not knowing is frustrating. There wasn't enough toilet paper when we arrived, however the host made sure we knew ahead of time and plenty arrived a couple days later.
The view from the kitchen makes you feel like you are right across the street from the lake. You have to drive down to the State park to actually access the water. But the state park is awesome!
Last thing, there isn't a garbage service. You must pack out all of your garbage.
These things may have been listed and I just missed them in the excitement of booking a vacation. Overall they didn't make that big of a difference, however it's nice to know these types of things in advance.
Great stay, beautiful area and we all had a lovely time.
We come back to this house several times a year and have never been disappointed! The house is always clean and the views of the lake are mesmerizing. 5 minute drive to Indian Creek state park and about 15 minutes to Lion Head. The owners are great people and easy to get a hold of. We will be back next year!
Gathered for a family reunion/‘memorial. Also had a cabin on the lake 1/2 mile away so we spent the days at the lake and those staying at n this house came home at night. Plenary of room for everyone- nice big kitchen and lovely views.
Very nice big house! There were a few small things like the couch was broken, the house was very hot upon arrival because the AC was not on (took over a day to cool down to comfortable levels) and the refrigerators were turned up and took over a day to cool down to proper levels.. The property manager was excellent responding to our concerns and I would definitely recommend staying here!
We had 10 people aging from 3-60 and there was more then ample space for everyone. Totally secluded which allowed for the kids to make noise without irritating any neighbors. Kitchen had everything you needed. The property manager responded quickly with any questions we had. Can’t really think of anything negative to say about our stay. We had a great time!
This house sits with a perfect view of the lake surrounded by beautiful nature. The driveway is long enough to take walks in the morning and enjoy watching the birds at the pond. Inside it’s always clean and stocked with everything you would need to make your stay effortless. We’ve been coming here for 3 years and look forward to it every time. Priest lake has lots of ATV trails that take you to beautiful views of the lake and mountains. We bring our boat and four wheelers. Almost forgot to mention the bonfire on the property, perfect way to end a great day! Owners are really nice people and respond quickly to communication.

Not entirely what was described
Do not bring your UTV’s, side by sides, trailers or boats. The parking situation is not as advertised, the shop is being rented/purchased by someone else and they blocked the driveway. There were multiple other issues as well as the property owners were installing a cell tower next to the garage and we had to adjust our schedule for the workers. Sure the house was outstanding as well as the view but there are MANY other properties to rent in the area where you don’t have to put up with this soap opera drama between the renter and property owner. My advice, move along to
a different house.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It had everything we needed to be comfortable and the view was amazing. The host was super responsive with really helpful check in instructions (even photo's of how to get there since it's a bit confusing the first time you drive up), and the home was exactly as described. The little town of Coolin has a delicious coffee shop (Tyee Coffee) and lunch at the Moose Knuckle was fantastic! We were there to spend time with friends in Nordman, which on a map looks really close. The only downside was being unfamiliar with the area, it took us about 50min to get to the side of the lake where we spent most of our time (Hill's Resort, Elkin's Resort, etc.). That was completely our fault, but definitely something to pay attention to and map out prior to arriving if you plan to visit either of those properties. Overall our family had a wonderful visit and would definitely recommend the house to any family who wants a great gathering spot with plenty of room!
My family met here for our annual reunion, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. We had plenty of space inside and outside to gather for meals and games. The property manager was very responsive and helpful leading up to our stay. The cabin is very remote which made for perfect quiet early mornings and star-gazing at night. There are multiple hiking trailheads, parks, boat rentals, and beaches nearby that we enjoyed. You will not be disappointed with your stay at the cabin!
Beautiful property with great views of the lake. The kitchen had everything we needed.
The house is comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable. We took advantage of the fire pit. The recliner sofas look good but they don't work very well. They are hard to open and almost impossible to close. There was a half eaten cake left in the fridge and a couple of circular sparkles on the floor from a previous party.
We had a group pf women stay here for 3 nights and it was just the relaxing/out of the way space we needed. Easy access to store, Lion’s Den, and a beach park.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this Cabin in Coolin. Amazing views and great house/property. Loved the huge windows and the outdoor seating areas. Wifi was good and worked properly even though there was little to no cell reception. Wasn't super kid friendly (lacked childrens utensils, cups and no high chairs/pack-n-plays etc) so just make sure you bring your own stuff for that. Other than that it was a great stay.
We spent 11 days in this house leading up to Memorial Day 2021. It’s a remote location, in a beautiful setting as the photos show.
Pros:
1. Peaceful, beautiful environment. This is a great place to unwind. The view from the kitchen or bedrooms or outdoor decks is simply gorgeous.
2. Stephanie, the property manager, is awesome. She was unfailingly responsive and helpful.
3. Priest Lake State Park (Indian River) is great for kids and only a few miles away.
4. Tons of room - 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, a huge living area, lots of outdoor decks and seating.
Cons:
1. Be prepared for a remote location. It’s 40 minutes to a small grocery store, and over an hour to a major one.
2. If water activities or hiking isn’t your thing, there aren’t a lot of other options for ‘fun’ nearby.
3. This could be a pro or a con, but the Idaho panhandle leans far right politically. Visitors from moderate or liberal regions may feel very out of place.
