"Being located at the end of a dirt road made arriving there feel like the gateway to pure pleasure. Then seeing the lake and knowing we get to stay there for 4 days made it even more fun. The house felt like home as soon as we walked in. So much space! The view was spectacular and having a lake right out the back door was magnificent. Looking over the lake at the village during the day and during the night was just special. And we apparently timed it right for the bright moon to bless us the last two nights. The sauna house was soooooo cute, we didn't end up using it, but I loved walking into it and checking out the decor. The Douglas Houghton Falls, so close to the house was the highlight of the trip. We go to the UP often, but that was our first experience and we will go again! The Hungarian Falls is just as close. We enjoyed the easy walk along the river while taking in the beauty and autumn smells of the land. We will return :)"

"WOW....SUPER clean that was my favorite part. (I'm kind of a clean freak lol) The view was amazing and if you're traveling with a family its thee perfect place to stay. My dog loved all the private places to run around, and my husband & I enjoyed the deck with all the beautiful views. You won't be disappointed. Jason & Misty were so helpful and responsive, I never had to wait for a response longer than 5 minutes. You will not be disappointed."

"The Eagle River lighthouse is an amazing place to stay. Everything was clean, thoughtful, organized and welcoming. The kitchen was a dream but sitting in the sunroom looking at the view was the best! Communication with the host was great. She was informative and helpful. My whole family was very impressed with the Eagle River lighthouse and we had a wonderful time there!!!!"

"This was a very nice location and only about one minute from the beach/Fitzgerald's Restaurant, however, there is no beach view from the two small cabins that are part of this rental. The view in the listing pics is from the road and the other from the lawn of the main house which is not part of the rental. So, the beach view is outside and away from the cabins. You can definitely hear the waves crashing from the cabins via open windows, so that is nice. The cabins were exceptionally clean and tidy, but the size of them is a bit skewed due to the fisheye lens photos used in the listing (think real estate listings). So, I was taken aback as to how "cozy" they were compared to the listing photos. The bathroom in one cabin is only three feet wide so definitely would be tight for a large adult. The other bathroom was larger so that was nice. Because we were just two friends we mostly stayed in the cabin that had the bedroom/bed. There is no stove at all, no cooktops, which I didn't expect so that was my fault for not reading the fine print. Bed was okay, There is wifi but the TV in the middle cabin had only DVD/VCR and no channels or cable. Had to listen to the Brewers game instead of watch it. I can't recall what the other cabin had for TV. The heater worked very well but since it is tight space it was hard to keep an even temp. That all said, the accommodations grew on us and it was a decent stay."
