I have stayed at the other cabin on the property last summer so I was familiar with the area and process and everything went well in that regard. The bungalow had an odd smell when we first entered and a ton of dead flies and lady bugs around the bathroom and kitchen. But otherwise we had zero complaints and enjoyed our stay! Will definitely consider using this property again for another stay in the mountains.

The person who owned the property just put a new machinical lock on proerty. It wasnt working . He was able to help without delay. The proerty was beautiful and quiet. Perfect for the weekend get away i was looking for.
It’s exactly how it’s shown online. Perfect to be away with your loved one and fur babies. Only difficulty we had was at checkin. We came late after work and the website we booked through was not the hosts main website and stated the keys would be inside. The door was locked and we never got the additional website with the correct information. I called the phone on file and the person sent over the informational link right away. I appreciate their quick response. Place was a short distance away to parks, overlooks, and other beautiful scenery spots and Ohiopyle. A couple things here and there but nothing affected our stay one bit. It was peaceful and we would go back! 100%!
All in all this was an adorable place. It was mostly comfortable and quiet which we liked. The positives: location, bed was comfortable, kitchen was nice and functional, bathroom clean, quiet, nice little swing by the hot tub, firepits, parking was good, comfortable chairs out front. The negatives: dry blood on sheets (thank goodness i brought my own), towels were old, old sponge in sink to wash dishes with (i ended up using the paper towels), and it smelled like dead mice. We tried opening the windows to air out but it wouldn't go away. When i contacted Travis he was quick to respond that they would get new sheets and look at the smell. However, we couldn't take it any longer and left after the first night with no reimbursement. If it honestly wasn't for those 2 big things, it would've gotten 4.5 stars.
The bungalow was just right for our needs. The rural location was nice. Being dog friendly was wonderful. But others should be aware the other rentals are very close. And the bungalow area does not allow much room for a dog to run. The parking for the first cabin is directly outside the bungalow bathroom. So in our instance the cabin guests kept their dog unleashed and their fire pit was a matter of feet from our only entrance or exit so it was tense getting our dogs in or out. Plus the actual property neighbors dogs have (rightfully) free range. But potty in the area you are expected to clean up after. These are insignificant things to most but health and safety concerns for us and our dogs due to the fact we wound never want negative interaction with other dogs or guests for our dogs sake or anyone else’s. Location would be outstanding for event where a large group could use the whole place with separate accommodations!.
Rating our overall stay a 2 due to cleanliness and a couple inconveniences. When we first got in the door we noticed dog hair everywhere and there was some dog food on the floor as well. I know it’s a pet friendly place but the hair/food was in plain sight and noticeably not cleaned. I opened the fridge and it smelled like onion and there was 1/4 inch of an orange liquid in the bottom and it the bottom drawers and the shelves were pretty nasty themselves. Basically as soon as we got in we had to thoroughly clean the place which shouldn’t be our task. Packed at steaks and corn to cook on the grill to realize the grill was actually out of gas. We would’ve liked to enjoy the hot tub as well but as it is shareable there were people in it both nights from 9pm-2am. Reason I didn’t rate this a 1 was because the host responded quickly and check in was easy. Bungalow is in a good location.
This is a cozy little cabin up the side of a mountain on a nice property with two other cabins. We enjoyed the stay quite a bit. The shelter with a gas grill and hot tub were nice touches. The cabin has a fridge, gas stove, and microwave. Dishes, bedding, and towels are provided though the dishes are a bit thin. For example, there is like one bowl in the place. There is one skillet but no sauce pans so cooking takes some creativity.
We were disappointed that the bedding was dirty. It was dirt, like they had been put on the floor and picked up dirt before they were put on the bed, rather than dirty like they were never changed from the last group, but still... it was off-putting. The property manager responded quickly and we had clean bedding the next day much to their credit and the remainder of the stay was problem free.
The internet isn't great. They use a cellular modem and their data package of 12Gb isn't really useful for streaming content, which is really your only option. Given it is cellular, the speed was serviceable but it would go out occasionally as the signal strength was only about 2 bars. I took my Starlink which worked amazing (130 down/30 up) and switched over the chromecast on the TV to just avoid the problem. The property manager should just install a Starlink and a couple access points and drop the silly metered data.
Overall we would give it a recommendation as a good spot for a cozy getaway.
The process was so easy and the location was close enough where we got to spend a whole day at Ohiopyle. The cabin had everything we needed and the hot tub was a big plus! Definitely will be back soon!
It was exactly what we needed. It was far from a lot of places and us being out of town made it hard to navigate with the service being low to none but it was nice to disconnect for a weekend. The place was great I prefer a firmer mattress but I still slept good. Having everything in a small place and have large scenery was amazing. If we travel back in that area we will definitely try to rent this location again.
My 6 yr old granddaughter and I stayed here. The bungalow is quaint and charming. It was clean and well stocked. We had a blast exploring Ohiopyle during our visit.
Great place to stay looks exactly like the pictures. Only issue was the shower didn’t get hot or stay hot very long. Other than that the place was great.
This cabin was the perfect size for my husband and two medium sized dogs to stay in for a long weekend! It was quiet, calm, and not far some from great food and fun activities. If you are driving in at night, just beware of the dark and winding roads!
