Comporta is a village on the Tróia peninsula, a 13-mile long sandy spit in the north of Portugal's Alentejo region. It sits at the heel of the peninsula, at the southern end of the wide Sado estuary, sandwiched between dense forest and the Atlantic. The village is lovely and has affordable places to stay. You can get in that place by ferry from Setúbal to Tróia.

Tudo é bom aqui, desde as amplas e equipadas casas, super confortáveis, ao espaço exterior, sossego, comida entregue a porta de casa pelas sempre atenciosas funcionárias que não deixam que falte nada. Mais, venho com o meu cão, de porte grande, e também ele adora o Monte. Tem bastante espaço para correr livremente e é muito bem recebido. "

"Pros: A casa era mesmo muito boa e tudo funciona muito bem. 3 wcs completos 3 quartos fantásticos, uma sala grande como é necessário e boa tv e wi-fi. Sem muita decoração nem móveis a mais como se pretende numa casa de férias, tem tudo o q é preciso. A dona é super simpática e prestável, sempre disponível. A meu pedido arranjou até quem fosse fazer a limpeza ao fim de 1 semana que não deve ser fácil neste período. Cons: Apenas uma nota negativa: o meu aluguer foi de 15 dias e deveria contemplar...

"A wonderful house that leaves nothing to be desired. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with plenty of crockery and utensils. There is a bathroom with shower and toilet on each floor, suitable for larger families. We were warmly welcomed by Bruno and he was very helpful with all our questions and needs. "Five-star hotel with true five-star service! The staff were very helpful and accommodating, and went out their way to make our stay enjoyable. Facilities are stunning (on newer side) and good amenities with tennis/paddle/pickelball courts, gym and heated pool. Only thing missing for a five-star hotel at that price range would be a sauna and/or steam room. Breakfast was included and very good. Would stay again."

"Wow what an amazing place ! The whole complex is fabulous ! The staff are amazing and so helpful and friendly ! The chalets and villas are all fantastic with everything you would need . Sea views ! Walks straight from our villa onto the cliff top to join the Fisherman’s Trail. Free use of bikes and padel court . Fab swimming pool! We will definitely be back . Thank you 😎"
