"If you dislike the sound of trains at night, make sure to book a room on the ocean side. I was on the ocean side, but, I could still hear the trains, it was not disturbing. Make sure you arrange a taxi if you are unable to carry luggage up a steep hill. Walking up and down to lovely Moneglia can be an issue for elderly unfit guests. I love the hotel and Moneglia. My third time at Mondial. I will go again. Bell"

"This was one of the most magical places I have ever stayed. Every corner of the castle had something interesting: the kitchen was fantastic (we made pizza in the pizza oven), we had drinks in the taverna, lounged in the pool, and had dinners on the balcony overlooking the sea. "We stay in the area every year to see family, and have always struggled to find a house large enough for us all that is suitable. This house is that and more. The pictures really do not do it justice. The swimming pool is absolutely stunning, and is cleaned every other day. The pool area is a lovely large space we enjoyed daily. I noticed a few comments before our stay about it being too hot without air conditioning and I can say this is just not true. The week we were there temperatures were 33 and we had 3 children in our group and everyone found the evenings very comfortable. Each bedroom has a fan and that is more than sufficient. There is so much room - you have 2 living areas, 2 kitchen areas and the bedrooms, which are all lovely and the beds very comfortable. It is very close to a beautiful town with everything you need and some lovely restaurants. We loved it so much, we have booked for next year! Thank you so much Cristina for your hospitality. Breakfasts offer a great variety of home made treats. The views are breathtaking. It’s a hidden gem away from hustle and bustle but still close enough for sightseeing around Portofino and Cinque Terra areas."
