Pros: Our correspondence with the English owners before the holiday in regard to our daughter's medical needs and some changes to the makeup of our group reassured us about their helpfulness.
An instruction folder would have been helpful for first time visitors to Spain - we had to ask about how & where to dispose of rubbish, & recycling. We found everything else by trial & error. Two fans for 3 bedrooms was not really enough.
The Spanish landlord was really kind & helpful.Some excellent restaurants in Competa. There was an unmade, steep road to the villa which was hairy at first. The views were tremendous. We missed the early morning sound of cockerels, dogs & goats when we returned home.

Mooi huis op een rustige locatie, prachtig uitzicht en mooie tuin
Pros: Het huis is erg mooi, beetje ouderwetse inrichting. Het huis en de buitenruimte was erg schoon (en wij zijn kritisch)! Keuken voorzien van basis, koekenpannen zijn aan vervanging toe. Broodrooster was kapot, die is op dezelfde dag vervangen voor een nieuwe. We hadden geen televisiesignaal, de eigenaar is de volgende dag langsgekomen. Bij het boeken stond bij dat je op locatie een babybed kon boeken. Dit was niet het geval, maar is de volgende dag geregeld door de eigenaar. Service was heel goed, maar liever moest het gewoon in orde zijn. We kwamen in de avond aan, sleuteloverdracht was niet fysiek, was wel een beetje vreemd, maar verliep prima. Bij de boeking staat de naam van Patricia maar die hebben wij niet gesproken. Via whatsapp met de eigenaren afspraken gemaakt. Dat verliep prima, maar niet persoonlijk. De tuin is heel fijn met citroen-, vijgen- en olijfbomen, leuk voor de kinderen maar wel oppassen. Het huis zit aan de rand van een natuurgebied. Competa was niet zo boeiend.
Cons: Het tweepersoonsbed was voor ons echt te klein, wat wel heel jammer is.
Je hebt echt een auto nodig. De weg van Torrox Costa naar de villa (Competa) is ongeveer 25 min. rijden via een pittige bergweg. Je gaat niet zo snel erop uit vanwege de locatie. Als je op zoek bent naar rust dan is dit perfect! Wij zitten liever toch in de buurt van restaurants en winkelgebieden.
Jammer dat er geen nespresso apparaat was wel een koffiezetmachine (filter).
Het zwembad is ongeveer 1,4m diep, wat wel fijn is met kleine kinderen, maar voor volwassenen is het minder. Vanuit de tuin kijk je uit op bouwlocatie waardoor je enige overlast hebt, viel redelijk mee. In de nacht hoor je veel honden blaffen, maar je kon wel ok slapen. De auto kan voor de deur geparkeerd worden, niet achter het hek helaas.
