HISTORIC 1945 SCHOOLHOUSE. 4700 sq. ft. of luxury five minutes from Lake Fork.
- This historic, lovingly restored property is the perfect base for your trip to Lake Fork, or as a gateway to East Texas. Located five minutes from Lake Fork—the big bass capital of Texas—and ten minutes from the thriving art scene of Winnsboro, there is something for everyone!
The 4700 square foot building has been thoughtfully configured for your comfort. The former classrooms are repurposed into two private suites. Each suite has two bedrooms (one king and one queen bed) and a private sitting area with a couch (pull-out in the pink room; long enough to sleep on in the blue room). Set up for a crowd, the two full bathrooms and one ADA-accessible half bath provide four stalled toilets plus a urinal, five sinks, and two showers with 4"-lip walk-ins.
Equipped with central heating and AC, the space is climate comfortable year-round. The chef's kitchen is a dream, with three ovens, a six burner gas cooktop and griddle, and two dishwashers. The outside former cafeteria is repurposed as a grill room with a gas grill, fish fryer, and large propane griddle. There is even a giant wood-burning offset smoker pit!
There is plenty of outdoor parking for your boat, a fully fenced yard, and an inviting back porch with a propane firepit for relaxing in the evenings.
