"Fantastic"

"We booked this by mistake. We thought we were at Hyatt Place in downtown Royal Oak. It was very late at night. We were told that we were at Hyatt House two miles north! Had to call our relative to come back and collect us and take us to Hyatt House. The lobby is lovely, staff are superb, breakfast was excellent. But the rooms are of “brutal architecture”. Grey, chunky, wide spaces to accommodate wheelchairs. Not cozy and inviting. Lighting is fluorescent and cold. Yuck. Not surprised as a big hospital nearby. Probably for longer term stays. DID NOT LIKE THE ROOM."

"The township surrounding the hotel was experiencing a water issue during my stay, which I only learned about upon check in after a long trip, leaving me no options for other accommodations. I felt the staff for the duration of my stay was not very welcoming. The room was clean. That’s about all I can say. "

"Look for what you pay here vs the other hotels, it is usually a great deal. Sometimes prices spike on the weekends. It's not new, not in exceptional condition, doesn't sparkle when you walk in however, it is usually a bargain and it is generally clean. It is an old property but I have stayed there many times and it is fine if your not looking to be wowed !"

"Staff at check-in was very helpful; staff at restaurant was great; housekeeping staff was fantastic. The furniture in the lobby was filthy-I was surprised because I've stayed here for years when I traveled to this area. The beds were comfy. Parking garage was nice. I wish they had a microwave in the rooms like some of their competitors. Overall, pretty decent experience. "
