Pet friendly historic home in Downtown Nashville!
A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE RESIDENCE IN A REAL HISTORIC BUILDING.
The restored historic home dates to 1840. The Stagecoach 1840 served as a tollhouse for stagecoaches traveling on the private toll road north of Jefferson Street in Nashville for many years. The important period features, original brick exteriors, wood floors, and over six sash windows can be found in this pre-Civil War Indiana building, while modern amenities, a full kitchen, and one and a half bathrooms make your stay a comfortable one.
Save on parking. The Stagecoach is a short walk from all the downtown shops, restaurants, and entertainment. It has two bedrooms, with one queen bed and one full bed, one full bath, and one half bath, as well as a full kitchen with a gas stove, a dining room, and a large living room. Our covered front porch allows guests to relax.
Take time to have fun with a soak in the hot tub, enjoy the firepit, or partake in the fun puzzles, games, Wi-Fi, and Hulu! Your furry friends will have plenty of room to run and play in the large yard.
Rural Environment Notice Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience!
There is a $75 fee per pet for our pet-friendly properties. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.

This is a wonderful property with so much history! Was nicely appointed, clean, and very convenient - walking distance to shops, restaurants, wineries, etc. Was a wonderful place to stay! Id definitely stay here again!
my husband and i stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect. it was beautiful inside, great location, walking distance from downtown. all over very convenient and we would love to stay there again!
We had such a great time! We surprised my sisters with the trip. We made the best memories and loved the history of this house. Thank you to our host for accommodating all of us. We would definitely stay again.
We brought our dogs and loved this house! It is in walking distance or close proximity of “the shops.” Lots of tlc from the owners and enjoyed reading about the history of the house. Will definitely return.
Absolutely perfect place to stay in Nashville, everything is right there. The cottage was awesome! Hot tub was great, so was the fire pit. It was overstocked with towels, (robes for the hot tub) and everything else you would need.
Cozy. Was a bit concerned about a musty smell when we arrived, but remedied with turning on AC and replacing wall air fresheners. House was furnished nicely and beds were really comfortable. Overall a good experience.
My fiancé and I really loved this location due to having the privacy of a home but being so close to everything in town. The house was stocked well with everything we potentially needed, and we loved the historic charm. The only small downsides were that there was some construction next door that started at 8am each morning. Luckily we are early risers, but it could've been a problem for folks wanting to sleep in and relax. Additionally, as mentioned in previous reviews, the main bed is very hard. We figured our to
This historical home was cute. The living & dining room were quite spacious and comfortable. We found it difficult to move around in the home due to sloped, uneven floors and a step down to the area where the bathroom is. Also walking up from the parking area was a bit steep for us. The owners might want to consider getting a power strip with USB ports included for charging devices. It was the first time that we were requested to strip the beds & take out the trash. I would think that would be included in the fees that we paid. I wouldn’t stay here again just because of our mobility issues… we’re older & my husband has many health problems and walking issues.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Listing not representative
The location to walk into town was great, that’s where it ends. We had ants in the kitchen, the overall cleanliness was lacking. The couch covers need to be bleached out or replaced. I also didn’t appreciate the tick I found crawling on while on it. Don’t think you will have privacy in the hot tub, picture is misleading, you are wide open to neighbors and the motion sensor light always comes on.
I wanted to try the charm of this little house, we left a night early. When I reported the issues with cleaning and the ants their response was the would let maintenance know.
Not happy-
We had a very comfortable stay. It was as described in the listing. The kitchen had everything we needed, but I didn't notice ahead of time that there isn't a dishwasher (my bad). The Keurig seems to have a little hitch in its processing, but we made it work.
There were plenty of soft, fluffy towels, and we appreciated the towels and robes for the hot tub.
We loved sitting on the front porch in the afternoons. Given how we watched cars drive back and forth looking for a parking space to open up we realized what a huge advantage it is to be in walking distance to everything in town! It was very nice to have a covered parking spot as well.
We used just the one bed in the larger room and the mattress was a little hard for us. The linens were comfortable and it was nice that there were several types of pillows available to choose from.
I can give only three stars for cleanliness. It really needs a deep clean. The sofa covers are soiled, the baseboards and doors need cleaning, and all the cracks and crevices in the bathrooms could use a good scrubbing.
We enjoyed our time in the Stagecoach Inn and our dogs were excited by the antics of the many grey squirrels!
Everything was wonderful. This was our second time staying there. Very cute house with lost a history in a wonderful location walking distance to everything.
