Great for a quick stay

This place was great for a quick stay! The only things that would've made it better was the deadbolt working and a cup to make the coffee in. It met the basic needs we had and we are grateful we didn't have to make a long drive home late at night. Hosts were always checking in and let me know I could contact them at any point. " Cozy Basement" is a very accurate description! Thanks again!

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Communication was not easy with this property. The information I received asked me to call or text a number but every time I reached out to that number, I never got through or got a response. Email worked quickly and I wish that had been suggested as the main form of communication. The space is also very small. I am 5'9" and I was too tall for this space. I constantly had to duck and avoid hitting my head on pipes. The basement unit is also unfinished. It's clear that this space was hastily set up. This didn't feel like a place people would live in. The shower head is also very low. It was below my head level and made showering very difficult. The place was also dirty. From the information I received, the person responsible for cleaning the space had quit earlier in the day, but that was not communicated to me until I reached out about the bed not being made (it looked like someone had just slept in it) and there being trash in the trash can. The owner offered a refund if we could find a different place to stay, but it was 11 at night and everywhere else was sold out or way too expensive. There was also a promise of a cleaner coming through during the day but that turned out to be a false promise. I hope someone came to clean the sheets and space before another guest stayed there. Having 3 guests stay in the same space without cleaning it does not seem right.
