It's fine. Nothing fancy. The staff was very nice. Bed was comfy. The blower was loud and the TV was tiny, but that didn't bother us. There isn't a fridge in the room, in case that matters.

The front desk was understaffed and unable to respond immediately to problems. The facility was not prepared for full occupancy due to the high school basketball tournaments hosted by the city. The television didn't work in the room that we stayed in. There was only one luggage cart, and it was not immediately available for check in or check out. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was noisy and chattered incessantly when used. The front door of this hotel was difficult for someone in a wheelchair to open, and there was no one to assist a disabled person with entering or exiting the building. The tile at curb-side was broken and rough to traverse in a wheelchair.

No one at front desk to check in. Sign said please use house phone, call ext. 163. I did, left a VM. A couple mins later, after no one arrived, I used house phone and dialed 0, to see if anyone would pick up. A woman did, and promptly came out to help. Turns out the sign should have been turned around, the proper side said dial 0. No biggie, but an awkward 5 mins or so.

No water in sink! Elevators not running this morning. Only gluten free options at breakfast were yogurt and instant oatmeal and couldn’t get hot water for the oatmeal or hot tea. No staff at desk or otherwise to assist.

We just became into new ownership as of September 19th 2023, they are putting 1.4 million dollar renovation into this building and should be done in 6 months. Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us.
The staff were very friendly and generous, so no issue at all with them. The owner of this facility really needs to invest some money back into the place - carpet cleaning, window replacement, larger shower curtains, professional painting, odor removal, brighter lighting (indoors and parking lot), etc. This place has the potential to be a great place to stay, if more than just the basic upkeep was invested in. Wouldn't stay here again and would advise others against staying.

This was the nastiest property I have ever stayed in. Holes in the wall, rusted out room door, a shower which could burn you if you turn on the sink as it does pressure sensor valves, which I thought was the law. I was approached by 2 different people in the parking lot for drugs. The room smelled like cat pee and my dog was going nuts. It was unbelievably bad.

I love this room. This is my third time staying here within the last two months. My son attends here at the University. I am near him, and I am across from the mall. The first floor is my favorite. I feel safe and the room has all the appliances that I need to have a comfortable stay. I will return next month. Love it.

Room didn’t match the pictures at all! I knew I wasn’t booking a super nice hotel, but the pictures on the website showed clean, renovated rooms. My actual room had bedside lamps that didn’t work, really old and stained sheets and curtains that looked like they were going to fall off. Super disappointing!
I was worried about bed bugs so pretty much immediately left the room and the staff at the front desk was kind enough to offer me a refund when I explained the situation.

Despite being advertised as dog-friendlythey charge an additional $25 fee for pets (hotels.com policy states $20).
Bed was clean. Shower was hot. Room was spacious. Service at check-in had zero wait-time, but was poor. Absolutely no consideration or allowance for my 6lb dog who does NOT warrant such a fee.
Breakfast is continental. No eggs. Waffle-maker, cereal, juice, toast. Only protein available is dairy. Clean enough. Safe enough. For being right off the highway. But not a testament to the La Quinta brand.

Reserved a suite per the web site, pictures showed a full suite with lounge area and sleeping area, on arrival found that it was simply two adjoining rooms one with the king bed and the second with two standard beds. Nothing about it was a suite. Did not stay and do not recommend it for anyone! Place was in terrible condition.

Hotel property was very “worn” and “beat up”. Front desk employee clearly did not like his job. Breakfast was not like other LaQuintas I’ve stayed at. I was made to sign a release stating there would be no smoking in the room and clearly the previous occupants smoked in there.

Based upon past events, the Hotel has rationally determined that renting rooms to individuals who reside locally (i.e., within 30 miles radius of the Hotel) poses a reasonably avoidable increased risk to the health, wellbeing and safety of hotel staff, guests and property. We extremely apologies for any inconvenience caused by this policy.
No heat in my room on the first side of my state… I froze my ass off. I reported it to the Knight manager on my first night there… He said submitted some type of report and said they couldn’t fix it till tomorrow and they had no more rooms in the hotel. I froze my ass off. Upon check out when I asked the manager for some discount I was told that the most could give me was 20 bucks. What an insult. This place is a complete dump

Once nice hotel, now run down
This used to be our go-to hotel when in Columbia. That was 8 years ago, and the hotel has not been touched since then. A sign in the lobby says renovations are underway; I wouldn’t recommend a stay there until it actually is renovated.
Even before the hotel is renovated, there’s no reason to give guests linens with holes in them (see photo). There was no maid service of any kind during my stay; thank goodness I didn’t use all of my towels. And the smell of marijuana was so strong in my room during my entire stay.

The property seemed run down and unclean. Carpet was old, you could see light coming through cracks in the doors and the curtains had small holes. There were 2 microwaves in our room, 1 of which definitely needed to be thrown away. There was also hair on the shower wall that was there when we checked in from a past customer. Overall not great and especially not for the price we were charged.

Place is very rundown. Bed was uncomfortable, the AC was super loud and the only thing I could do was unplug it. Another guest I talked with briefly said his AC was loud too. I asked to change rooms and the only thing they said was that they didn’t have another room. I wouldn’t call the place dirty, just very rundown. If you can avoid staying here do it. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent any future occurrences.We are new ownership started on Sept 19, 2023. We are doing 1.2 M renovation, within the 6-month time period, which is already started last week. By doing complete renovation of this hotel, we will bring this hotel back to Wyndham brand standards. We will train our staff more in the Wyndham brand standard.
Dirty, reeks of cigarettes, holes in walls, stains, mold. Left after day 1 of 2.
