Serene getaway

The property was very clean and organized with everything we needed. Plenty of space for our family of 4. Owners were close by and responded quickly whenever we needed anything. Location is great, far enough away from traffic that easily driving distance for food and reaching West Glacier.

Incredible Montana Stay - PERFECTION !!

This is the BEST rental property we have ever stayed at. The location is so convenient for adventures at Glacier National Park, with many restaurants and grocery stores only a short distance away. The property and home are gorgeous - such attention to detail, impeccable interior decorating, and beautiful outdoor landscape. The hosts (Sarah & Clay) are so welcoming, and really make their guests feel safe and “at home”. Of special note - the beds are super comfortable, the layout is open & airy, washer & dryer are awesome, and the dimmer switches throughout make for lovely ambiance. We are so glad we found this hidden gem in Montana. We hope to stay again at the Big Black Barn!!

Amazing Montana Stay

5 star rental! Beautiful, comfortable, with fantastic amenities. This well-built new structure is hosted by a wonderful husband and wife team. Grounds and surroundings are amazing. The nicest short term rental we've ever visited. Perfect for daytrips to Glacier, Whitefish and Flathead Lake. Can't recommend this place enough!

The Black Barn was absolutely fabulous! Everything was so new and clean and spacious. The beds and pillows were amazing, plus the host had everything we needed and they thought of everything. Great location for us, as we went to Glacier National Park each day. Plus close to restaurants and stores, but away enough to feel secluded. HIGHLY recommend this property and we plan to come back again.

Great Location, Great Property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "Big Black Barn". The location was perfect for exploring West Glacier N.P. and we had convenient access to Columbia Falls for shopping and restaurants. The Browns have created a very comfortable home-away-from-home with this property - very clean & well-maintained with modern appointments and comfortable beds. We can truthfully say that this was one of the best equipped properties we have rented - from kitchen supplies to a well stocked first-aid closet (including bear spray to use while exploring the park). There is even a private, wood burning fire pit area complete with all the fixin's for s'mores! We would definitely stay here again!

This place was awesome! We had three VRBOs on this trip, and many others in the past, but this one was the best so far. This place was very clean and the host has thought of everything to make your stay warm and welcoming. From the beautiful fire pit area and country setting, to the huge comfy beds and all the modern amenities! The washer and dryer were a huge plus! Our other two places had no laundry so we were able to get everything clean to finish out our trip. This place checked all the boxes!

Slice of Heaven

One of the best places we've stayed using VRBO. Clean, peaceful and had anything we could possibly need to feel like home away from home. The bed was very comfortable, the water was warm and the location was perfectly nestled in open fields with gorgeous views of the ranges. We saw deer, geese and a fox. Very close to town and easy access to highways for GNP and Flathead Lake. We enjoyed just cruising down the dirt road alongside the farms. It was an experience that was gone too soon, but looking forward to having again in the future.

Absolutely Amazing!

This VRBO was recommended to us from a friend that had stayed here. We were more than happy with the accommodations; they exceeded our expectations! The property is beautiful. The interior is decorated so nice, and we felt right at home upon entering. The space is cleaner than any VRBO we have stayed at. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency and had to leave early. We absolutely loved the location of this property. We felt like we were in the center of everything. The property was very beautiful and very clean. The owners responded quickly when asked questions. I would highly recommend this property to family and friends. Also, the beds were comfortable and there were many details that were well thought out. The lighting in the property was fantastic. They had fans in both of the rooms and the kitchen was fully stocked if you wanted to make meals. They also had a fire pit and grill for use. The place was also stocked with paper items, shampoo & conditioner, body wash, spices, and laundry detergent. We would definitely stay there again friends

Perfect choice for our trip!

Having never been to Montana before, I feel so lucky to have discovered this property. It is the perfect location to make a base. We went to Whitefish, Glacier National Park (several times) and also down to Big Fork. Each was such an easy drive. The house had everything for me and my teen boys. Actually it was stocked with more than we could ask for from cooking spices & kitchen supplies to laundry detergent and even robes and lavender linen spray!!! The house is designed so beautifully and tbeds and pillows were so comfortable. Sarah and Clay have thought of everything and are so nice and helpful. You won’t regret booking the Big Black Barn!

I'm so elated that I took a chance on a new property with no feedback! It's more than you can imagine... Everything new, and top-of-the-line; mattresses so comfy, small and large appliances are the very best, comfortable furniture with a homey feel, separate thermostats so bedrooms can be set for personal preference. And, the most breathtaking view of the mountains! I even got to see a herd of elk close by. From people I visited with, this herd can be seen often and year-round! I was shocked since this property is fairly close to town! I'll never forget this experience and will definitely stay here again whenever I have the opportunity.

The Big Black Barn: Big Heart under Big Sky

The Big Black Barn is absolutely stunning - quiet luxury at its finest! Sarah and her husband have built such a beautiful retreat, it was hard to leave each morning but a joy to come back to at the end of our adventure packed days. They set the tone with a sweet welcome basket and generously stocked fire pit. The interior is expertly decorated while still allowing the view of the Columbia Mountain Range take center stage. The kitchen and great room are open to each other making socializing while cooking effortless. A bedroom on either side - each with a king-sized bed, comfortable mattress/bedding and plentiful storage - serve as quiet sanctuary when winding down for the evening. Throughout the space they paid attention to the smallest of details that make you feel like a welcome and wanted guest. Their communication underscores that sentiment as well. From the booking confirmation through checkout - every interaction was pleasant and accommodating. It is situated in a gorgeous farming valley yet reasonably close to GNP, Whitefish, Amtrack, Kalispell airport and retail shopping. The Big Black Barn is a special place : ) Thank you, Sarah and Clay, for sharing your beautiful space with us...It was the heart of our stay.
