"Great rustic lodging. Helpful and friendly host. Beautiful area and close to many hiking trails in parks and preserves. Highly recommended if you want simple, rustic lodging with comfortable accommodations (nice bed, everything needed for a compact kitchen to prepare meals, and nice picnic table for eating outdoors). "It’s name says it all. A perfectly sized, literal “bed room” in the middle of the woods. The fire pit had wood all ready for me to use. If you were to come in the winter, the tiny home has a wood stove to use as well."

"The tiny cabin was beautiful. Fresh, clean, and well stocked/prepared. The only slight negative was the bed in main bedroom was a little uncomfortable and the auto-text check-out reminder that woke me up at 6am on vacation! I told the owners that they need to adjust the time it goes out to 8 or 8:30. Otherwise a great stay, would do it again!"

"Nice secluded stay. Had deer walk within view. Location was great, about an hour from Acadia National Park and about the same distance from Campobello. Floor plan is spacious for a tiny home."

Thanks to Chad for the smooth check-in/out and for providing such a unique spot to stay near Acadia and Bar Harbor."

"We were looking for places around Bar Harbor to stay, and this did not disappoint. It’s an hour away, but honestly, we liked it better than being in the town. The space was much higher quality than even the pictures show. Very clean, quaint, with great amenities and a view you can’t beat. Plus the owners send texts with recommendations and have an amazing guest book. We had everything we needed and more. "
"Warm and knowledgeable hostess. Personally welcomed each guest and showed us to our rooms. Breakfast served between 0800-0830 so we missed it both days as we had already left for adventures at Acadia National Park which is slightly over an hour away. Smelled delicious. Recommended local restaurants with good food. View was beautiful, room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again and plan to enjoy breakfast and more conversations. "
Bring everything to camp minus the tent at our little cabin.
10/10 Excellent
"I loved it! I used this as a base camp to go hiking in Acadia NP, and it was perfect for that, but I also could have spent my entire two days at the property and been very content. As it was, I slept deeply on my air mattress in the loft and watched the beautiful sunrises while sitting at the shore and while eating breakfast at the table inside. On the second morning, I also explored the entire lake with the host's canoe. It was quiet and serene, listening to a pair of loons that I was able to see up close while paddling. I took a short, refreshing dip in the clear water of the lake. I was there mid-week in the shoulder season, so maybe I got lucky, but I had the entire lake to myself. If I'd been staying longer, I might have wanted the ability to lock the cabin. I did have an orb weaver spider join me in the port-o-john, but I left it alone and it did me the same courtesy. Really the biggest issue was finding and getting there. Google gave me a location for the address that wasn't even on the correct lane. I arrived after dark and the long driveway and lack of signage made it hard for me to know if I was going the right way or going to end up at someone else's house. I bumped into some tree stumps that were hard to see in the dark. Upon leaving the property, the big SUV I was driving, a VW Atlas Crossfire, had issues with the loose rock and spun its tires going up the small hill close to the road. Overall, I highly recommend it and hope I can return!"
Secluded Lakefront, Dog-Friendly Cabin with Canoe, 7 Miles from the Ocean
10/10 Excellent
"This past weekend, my family and I escaped to a hidden gem in the heart of Maine—a cabin that redefined serenity for us. Nestled among whispering pines and overlooking a glassy lake, the property was absolutely pristine, with every detail immaculately maintained, from the sparkling kitchen to the cozy wood-burning fireplace. The quiet was profound; no city hum, just the gentle rustle of leaves and occasional loon call, allowing us to truly unplug and recharge. We left feeling utterly refreshed and are already counting down the days: we’ve booked a full week here next year and plan to make this our annual tradition. If you’re seeking a flawless retreat, look no further—this place is pure magic."

"Host was awesome and addressed any of our needs quickly. The property is lovely, comfortable, large & open with all the appliances and amenities needed. It is in a good location close to Acadia National Park, as well as Winter Harbor & Ellsworth which has all the stores, restaurants shopping you would need. Our only issue (which the host obviously could not control) were the flying/biting insects on the in the area which we did not expect in Sept.
