The Neighborhood:
Enjoy Colorado living with an abundance of forested mountains in view over the Shining Mountain Golf Course. At Mountainview Lodge you'll be conveniently close to hiking (trailheads within a few minutes by car), fly-fishing (gold medal waters within 30 minutes at Deckers or 11-Mile Canyon or just a bit further to the world-famous "dream stream"), and more. Just a 30-minute drive from the property, the enchanting Ice Castles in Cripple Creek are a must-see during the winter season. Mountainview Lodge is nestled in a quiet forested neighborhood just a few minute drive from the charming "downtown" of Woodland Park which has lots of choices for shopping, local restaurants, a lovely park, breathtaking views of the North Slope of Pikes Peak everywhere you go.
Getting Around:
It's best to bring or rent a car. We highly recommend 4-wheel drive for winter. The driveway is steep and can be icy at times, but local roads are very well maintained.
Experience Colorado’s renowned ski culture with several world-class ski resorts just a short drive away:
• Breckenridge Ski Resort: 2 hours and 10 minutes
• Keystone Resort: 2 hours and 20 minutes
• Monarch Mountain: 1 hour and 50 minutes
Spend the day carving powder, snowboarding, or enjoying après-ski dining before returning to the peaceful serenity of Woodland Park.
Other Things to Note:
+ Exterior facing security cameras for the front door, driveway, and street. NO cameras facing hot tub or indoors.
+ Sleep in peace on our super soft linens which were laundered in a professional facility to ensure the highest possible amount of viruses and bacteria are utterly destroyed.
+ We reserve the right to collect ID directly from our guests before allowing access to the property. This is in addition to identification you may be asked to provide to the booking platform.
+ No smoking of any kind inside, please.
+ Our team sets out linens appropriate to the number of people on your reservation so please make sure your reservation accurately reflects the number in your party. Be aware that we charge a $30/night fee for additional guests after 4.
+ Guests must be able to climb stairs.
+ The driveway is steep and north facing, so it may have ice and snowpack during cold weather. We highly recommend a 4WD vehicle during snowy times of the year. If you do not feel comfortable driving up the driveway you may park on the street and walk up.
Interaction with Guests:
We love helping guests make the most of their time in our beautiful area and live very close by. However, we give our guests space unless they ask for help or want to say ‘hi’ in person. Our team will be available throughout your stay and is always happy to provide advice on local restaurants, attractions, and adventures.

The property was very clean and had wonderful views with ample room to enjoy. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided and the staff was very responsive in any concerns or questions we had. Overall wonderfully pleasant stay!
This beautiful house has incredible views of the mountains. The hosts were so accommodating. The property was everything I hoped it would be and more. Plan to return in the fall with my whole family to view the leaves changing color.
Property is in a very nice neighborhood with great views. Home is huge, lots of room to spread out. Very clean. Short drive to Woodland Park main street. We will definitely stay here again.
Exactly as advertised and photos. Really nicely appointed property. Hot tub is simple to operate with the instructions right by the door. Deer in the yard. Lots of Clarks Nutcrackers and Stellers Jays. Beatiful sunrise from the front deck.
We have fallen in love with the summer weather and surroundings of Woodland Park, Colorado to escape the extreme summer heat of the Southwest. The daily visit from the local deer in the neighborhood add to the charm. Many great mountain hikes within a short distance. This location with its views, and modern home with all of its amenities is highly recommended. The homeowner and support staff were very attentive to any needs we might have (none were needed as everything was well supplied). Can easily accommodate a large family.
Great property! The house is very open and spacious and has beautiful views of the mountains. Our extended family (my parents in their 70s, 3 kids in their early twenties, and a 14 year old) spent a week in the house and had plenty of space to spread out. The house looks brand new and has all of the amenities people could want. The location was ideal for us since it is close to shops, restaurants, and places to visit (cliff dwellings, Olympic Museum, Garden of the Gods, hiking trails, trails for off-roading, Pike's peak cog train....). We ran into one small problem and were able to reach the owners almost immediately. They quickly took care of the issue. Fantastic customer service! I highly recommend this property!
Great home for our family. Convenient location in Woodland Park and very easy to get to. Management company was very helpful and prompt to respond to any questions.
We had a great time at our recent stay in Woodland Park. The directions were accurate, the home was beautiful, well furnished, was carefully planned, and was very relaxing! We enjoyed all of the extra amenities added - the local recommendations, the extras in the kitchen (pans, utensils). We will be back!
Overall a great stay! Close to many attractions and grocery store.
Only bummer; if you’re not looking hard you won’t see it doesn’t have air conditioning. The house did cool down at night and they provided fans but was an unfortunate oversight while booking.
Would stay again regardless.
We had an amazing time at this property. It is in a quiet neighborhood with great Mountain Views. It is close to everything we wanted to do in the area. An easy drive to all the touristy places, yet away from the hustle and bustle. 8 people fit comfortably in the home. The pool table and hot tub were a hit with everyone. A great place to stay. I highly recommend it.
This home was ideal for our family vacation. We had three young men and a teenager with us and the bottom part of the home was ideal for them to have their own space. The kitchen had everything you would need and the bedrooms were comfortable--We all felt at home! Tim and team were very responsive to all our inquires during our stay. Only downside was that the couches in the main living area (upstairs) are not comfortable and the TV was far away so it was hard to hear sometimes.
My husband and I booked a weekend stay in early December for his 40th Birthday. The property was absolutely perfect! The master bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the double sided fire place. The hot tub was extremely clean and nice and hot. The neighborhood was quite and we enjoyed all the neighbors Christmas lights from the patio. We would absolutely stay again....and maybe even bring the kids next time....maybe 😉
Our family of 7 older adults found this house to be more than we expected. The house is very large with two living places, a fully equipped kitchen, romantic luxury master bedroom, three fireplaces, and a hot tub. It was easy to find with their direction and check in was fast. The kitchen had every utensil you could want and plenty of dishes and cups for a large group. The decor through out the house was comfortably done. The ability to park in the garage and access the house directly was a nice during the cool evenings. The views from inside the house and outside on the porches was fantastic for watching deer and squirrels. If we are ever in the area, we would rent this place again.
The home is nice, but there was a very strong floral perfumery smell in the primary bedroom upon arrival that was surprising. Since it wasn't air conditioned we requested an additional free standing fan that was delivered very quickly. After having the windows open overnight it was much better. Seemed strange that housekeeping wasn't aware of the smell and neither was the owner. Also there were multiple communications where we indicated wanting to check in before 5pm if possible with no mention of additional charges. Day of arrival we were advised it would be $20/hour. Ultimately we checked in at 2pm, but the owner waived the additional charges due to the odor issue which was appreciated.
Beautiful Mountain Get Away with privacy and plenty of room!
We loved this place. Plenty of room for us and beautifully decorated with all the amenities you want when traveling. Coffee, laundry soap, trash bags, dish soap all provided. We loved the hot tub, pool table and three fire places. Beds were super comfortable too. Only negative was the snow on drive the first day we checked in so we couldn’t pull up to garage. The next morning we found a shovel and gravel on the property and cleared it all off. After that we were able to pull up and park in garage. It was actually kind of fun and something we anticipated so no problem! We couldn’t figure out how to operate the fire table on front patio but property manager was very responsive and helpful. We figured it out with some help. The last night we played hide and seek with our teens and it was great! Perfect house for our pre-Christmas mountain get away. 5 stars!
This place was very clean. I’m a bit particular about this requirement, and it did not disappoint. The place is spacious & can easily & comfortably accommodate 8 (10 if 4 little kiddos are staying in the room w/2 beds.) The neighbor is quiet & barely any traffic came through the plan. Although this is not in the bustling part of the area, it’s the best of both worlds…peace & quiet, but convenient to so many activities & shopping/eating districts. The hiking in the area is awesome & this location is convenient to many trailheads. Strongly recommend Catamount Reservoir Trail & go all the way to top to reservoir. If you are going with plans to cook the whole time, this is sparingly equipped with bare essentials. However, enough that you can muddle through for a little more than just snacks. We enjoyed everything. The only negative I have is the stools at the bar in kitchen are counter height & the hot tub had algae in it. Otherwise, it was perfect for us.
This property in Woodland Park was a nice quiet retreat from the activities in Colorado springs and the surrounding area. The property owners had thought about all the amenities that we would need as a family of five. We enjoyed playing pool, the hot tub, and playing games provided at this location.
Had an amazing weekend at this beautiful home! The hosts were accommodating and attentive and we all enjoyed the stay very much. Would highly recommend. :)
