Great Place to Stay in Colomo, MI
We all had a great time at this property, which was enormous. Two kitchens, which was incredible. Keith was very proactive in his communication with us and incredibly responsive with any questions we had. The property had everything we needed to feel like a home away from home. Creepy cameras and drunk Host just showed up uninvited
I stayed here with a group of women for a bachelorette party and I would not recommend that anyone stay here. There are cameras all over the property that are just super creepy. The host claims it is for our safety, but there is no proof he is not watching them. The host showed up on our first night extremely intoxicated when a group of women were in the hot tub. He made a comment about “dropping his pants” and said he wanted to provide shots from his “private liquor cabinet” and needed “one girl to come up with him to get the alcohol." It was nothing short of unacceptable. When I asked the host to leave, he walked across the lawn and entered the same house we were staying in, just from separate entrance. He was on the other side of a wall from us. I called VRBO immediately, to which they told me the host should NOT be on the property unless they are there to correct an issue and you have communicated with the host about their presence. They attempted to contact the host and his wife, but were unsuccessful. The only solution VRBO had for me was to “leave the property” or to “call the authorities if I felt unsafe”. The host showed up the next morning still drunk and gave an insincere apology, all while still overstaying his welcome. The only thing that saved our weekend was 1. The host finally left Friday afternoon and said he wouldn’t be back until Sunday and 2. His son who we met when he came to mow the lawn, was extremely kind and respectful. Do not stay at this property.

We had a 3 generation group stay at this place was great! It’s a 4 bedroom house, with an attached garage with an apartment above it. The apartment has a bedroom and open area with bunk beds and the owners spared no expense with the appliances and things to do there. There are definitely quirks to be expected with this being a private owner vs a management company but nothing was a big deal and we’re used to seeing those quirks being frequent rental/vrbo users. The only major complaint we had was the grill. I read reviews that it wasn’t great but assumed it had been replaced. We had 3 generations of grillers trying to get it going and it ended up blowing flames out the front onto my husbands clothes which were ruined. It also was SUPER gross with leftover meat on the grates. So I wouldn’t use the grill and definitely don’t let kids around it if you do. Keith was incredibly responsive and helpful anytime we needed him. There is a business on the property but I’m surprised by the reviews complaining about that because we never saw anyone unless we used the basketball hoops on that separate driveway. So just an FYI

Me and my friends stayed here for a bachelorette party and had the best weekend ever! The house was beyond gorgeous and clean, and the pool and hot tub were so much fun! So much room to sleep and get ready which was nice. We never had to leave the property but did for a night out at the owners restaurant. We had an absolute blast with incredible service. Keith was so easy to get in touch with and was super helpful at all times. 10/10 recommend and would go back

Great Place for Family Gathering
This a great place to have a family gathering. There are lots of amenities to please all the age groups from small children to adults. The place is huge and as well stocked as any VRBO I have ever been to. The kitchen(s) have every imaginable appliance, pots, pans, cookware etc. Even a crazy amount of spices to don't bother bringing any. The only things to be aware of is 1) The grill does not work properly. It only has one burner out of 6 that gets a flame due to the others being rusted out. It gets amazingly hot though so technically you can cook on it via indirect heat but don't plan on cooking a bunch of steaks or chicken as you would have to keep rotating them to the one burner that works. We did this to cook a bunch of hamburgers but it was a pain. 2) There are no directions of any kind provided by host which is a shame since I had to keep texting him for basic things like WIFI code, how to work the spa, how to open spa doors, how to work Pac man game, how to turn on some tricky lights etc. This is more a burden for the host but it made me feel bad since I don't like to have to keep bugging the owner but I had no choice. We wanted to enjoy all that was there but needed some help. I will say that Keith was really quick to respond though so all worked out. We would definitely rent again!

The property and house were gorgeous. Plenty of room, although there are two parts of the house. Didn’t bother my group but may be troublesome for anyone who can’t do stairs. We had a great time and went to see the owners at their restaurant they just took over. Nice bar and grill-food was good. House was Very clean. Only issue we had was that some supplies were not ready for us. Such as pool was not heated until we asked. I understand the weather was cooler the week we went, but we would have used pool if water was warm. Also no cover to pool and when I mentioned, I was told there was a new one in garage and my group could open box and put on. We did not want to be responsible for opening something new, and didn’t feel we should have to do it. Also had trouble finding tanks to use for fire pits-but did find one and hooked up ourselves. Overall a 4 star/and hoping for the future things will be better prepared for guests.

The property is enormous and filled with every possible amenity you could want. You truly feel like someone has opened their home to you. The owners were extremely responsive to our questions and their recommendations were spot on. (2121 Winery, we had a lovely time!) I had car trouble and they came over to help fix it. I just wish I had brought more of our family....there was plenty of room!

I'm a single dad and I Spent a couples days here with my kids (15,12 and 8 year olds) and it was absolutely amazing!! House is beautiful and had plenty for me and the kids to do never even left the house. Host was very laid back and super friendly and communication was a breeze!!! If you're contemplating about renting this place for a family or couples getaway think no further and just do it you only live once and this place is worth every penny!! I plan on going back as soon as I can!!!

We had a really good time. We came from hot humid weather to enjoy St Joseph’s beaches and cooler temperatures while spending time with the family. The house is huge! We were able to have our own rooms and some to spare. Some complained about beds not being comfortable or a little broken down but mine was great. The house was SO clean which is really important to me. There were many supplies available to use, if anything was forgotten you can make due with what is there. We enjoyed the pool the most during our stay. The only questionable thing was the multitude of cameras. I understand why but it’s a bit off putting. I’d stay there again and would recommend others to check into it also.

When the property has just under 14,000 square ft. You always wonder where your friends or kids are. You have your own television to see where your group, kids and adults are always at. Basketball court, pool, swim spa, catch in front yard, 👌 😎...past queens have given us 5stars on security for the property

Family Fun for Everyone!
This is an awesome property with tons of space and lots of fun stuff to do. Our multi- family group of 14 very much enjoyed the pool and swim spa. Even on rainy days there is plenty of covered space for being outside and lots of games available both inside and out. There are 2 separate sleeping areas and kitchens. The spaces are connected by a garage so you don't have to go outside to get from one to the other. There are steps going up to the "West Wing" which are a bit steep, but helped us get our exercise. We used the big, well appointed "West Wing" kitchen for our breakfasts together and inside gathering at night. We used the lower level kitchen for snacks and lunches by the pool. Tons of refrigerators and big screen TV's....even in the garage by the swim spa. Enjoyed the 85" TV, pool table and massage chair very much. Lots of living space to be separate if you prefer or all together in one space inside or out. Lots of nice linens available. The dryer in garage was really nice for drying towels throughout the day while using the pool. Keith was responsive to our questions about the house via text and phone calls. Went to Vineyard 2121 a couple of times and enjoyed the wine, beer and live music. Ate at Easy Street in Coloma which has great food and service. Mostly stayed at the house and enjoyed the pool and swim spa during our 4 night stay. As long as steps are not an issue I would highly recommend renting this VRBO property. We rarely go to the same place a second time, but would consider this property again because of the space, and numerous fun things to do at the house.

Top Notch! And so much to enjoy!
We rented this ginormous, beautiful home for my brothers wedding nearby. The owners/hosts were absolutely amazing and so easy to work with. Walking in to this property is jaw dropping! It’s beautifully equipped with everything you would expect to find in your own home! From Kitchen Aid appliances to quality mattresses! This did not feel like a rental at all! It felt like you were staying at your friends home. From the game area with pool table, indoor forever pool/spa, outdoor inground pool and basketball court there was never a moment of boredom. We stayed 4 days and will definitely return to enjoy the property more, as well as, the nearby wineries and shopping. Plenty (PLENTY) of room for multiple families to stay in this home. We were 11 adults and 4 children (4 families) and had space to spare! Keith and Angela were absolutely amazing and extremely easy to work with. I love that they sanitize the rugs and home and it was obvious they have it professionally cleaned. I strongly recommend this property and will be ‘favoriting’ it on my app for future stays!

I have never given anyone a bad review, as I try to always find something positive. However, with these 'hosts' I'm finding it very difficult to find anything positive. Everything from our checkin procedure to the accusing and resentful message he sent me after we left, everything was just terrible!! As regards check in, I had to get in contact with the owner by text and phone call trying to get the code to enter. My daughter arrived first on her own and was terrified!! She felt that there was someone in the home, as she entered she said she could hear footsteps upstairs. Sooooo, be warned...THIS IS NOT A PROPERTY WHERE YOU HAVE THE ENTIRE HOME TO YOURSELF!!! I texted the host to let him know that my daughter felt very uncomfortable as she heard footsteps upstairs and he never responded. As we discovered when you come in, there are 2 seperate living and sleeping areas, connected downstairs by a garage. The one on the right was particularly disturbing. Upstairs I believe there were 4 bedrooms that we used, but in the hallway by the bedrooms is a divider screen. The owners were actually just on the other side of that screen. Really frightening and terrifying for a group of young professional women. Another issue that we had were their nasty and inappropriate notes left all over the place!! Obviously they've had renters in the past that may have caused some issues, but if it is as bad as his notes indicate, I'm not sure why they are still renting it out?? They shouldn't be!! He made it perfectly clear through his many many many many notes that they are on septic. He then accused us after we left of flushing wipes etc down the toilet, we did not. If anything, he needs to remember that he had a father's day party with young kids there AFTER WE LEFT!! Perhaps the accusation of flushing stuff other than human waste and toilet paper was a result of another party AKA YOUR Father's Day Party??? I did get an "apology" from him a couple of days later recanting his accusations, but that did nothing for me!! Oh and on the issue of the signs, he may need to go back to grade school for your constant misspelled words and poor grammar...ridiculous!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Very clean, with lots of technological gadgets and high end accessories. Sleeping rooms broken up from living space, with a lot of stairs to negotiate, but my 94 year old dad did fine. Pool beautiful but it was too cold to use ( not owners fault!) swim spa fantastic, and good option if can’t get into outdoor pool. Not in town, but close to Lake Michigan and close to amenities.

I would strongly advise against renting this property.
I’ll start by saying the rental space is not as described. We had 3 families (a total of 10 guests) so we needed all 5 bedrooms as stated in description. When we arrived, the apartment pictured was a ONE bed ONE bath.. the other rooms/bathrooms were in the owners personal home… a little uncomfortable for us but we made it work. While we were there, the septic tank overflowed near the pool and was pumped/cleaned out. This restricted us from using the pool the entire day. The tools to pump the raw sewage were placed on the wooden picnic table and patio. The plumbers were not wearing gloves and repeatedly accessed the public walkways and door handles. The only “cleaning” that was done to remove the raw waste/fecal matter was the nearby garden hose. There was still fecal matter all over the pool deck when we left. You could clearly see and smell it. When we asked the owner to do the right thing and provide some sort of reimbursement for not being able to use the outdoor space he refused and threatened to blame the septic issue on us if we said anything to VBRO. The photos we took clearly show an issue that could not have been created in less than 18 hours of stay. The plumbers also told us this directly. Even more troubling: the owner stated bleach was used in the cleanup process but it was not. We watched the entire process from start to finish. The owner has video of this via his outdoor cameras which would show no cleaning agent was used. It is alarming that a homeowner would allow something so health hazardous to remain in a high traffic space right by the pool. In addition, the owner is in direct violation of the VRBO recording policy as he has a camera inside the property.

Top Shelf Scammers stayed here. Ruined our septic by clogging it with baby wipes trying to bully us into giving them a refund for a issue that was outside and was so minor the plumber didn't even wear gloves. Just to be sure renter would NOT try to hustle us out of money. We Sprayed 180.00 worth of sanitizer and it was so minor it was not even needed. First they said we did nothing, then that changed... They were swimming happily the whole time here. The plumber saw them and when I had my son stop by to see if they needed anything he stated they were in the pool the whole time. Just a bunch of liars... You worked hard on threatening to sue if I didn't refund them money over a scam issue they caused!!! Letter coming from the plumber verifying his findings. You always made sure to call off your phone so your Bully tactics were never on the messages between us on VRBO. You threatened with a lawsuit if I didn't give you money back. You enjoyed our home, and tried to get it for nothing cause you were MAD I didn't let you have a huge party here.... Others will see your fraudulent claims and will know why this letter was published. ! On our side at the door is equivalent of I ring ... Other cams in LEGAL common areas so when renters will always know where the group is and is viewed by them in there space, a camera we had on a rock violated VRBO rules because it was near a couch per VRBO we took out that camera before we ever started renting, to stay with in the rules of VRBO. I explained to these people making up lies and trying to Bully us into giving you a refund is NOT going to work. You can tell by past reviews this is an AWESOME Place for AWESOME People to Enjoy coming here and returning here. You were rude to my son who came to ask you if you needed anything while you were enjoying the pool you supposedly never used. You were in the pool while the plumber was there the whole time. Letter from plumber and his investigation ...The pit was working before you flushed wipes down it, just 50 gallons ago. Between the water used over the previous night and that day it is obvious it was you. Letter is proof your trying to scam my wife and I Plumber was there to fix OUTSIDE issue caused by you in less than and hour. Again the situation was so minor it didn't even warrant the plumber to use gloves...I strongly advise other owners to Never let these folks rent from them and destroy things. The rest is so trivial, doesn't warrant my response! I walk in my truth!

Awesome property!
Our group consisted of four couples and two 12 year old kids. We made our visit during mid August which was perfect for the all the swimming we did in the in ground pool and time spent at the beach. Silver Beach is about 20 minutes away and has nice bathrooms plus food and ice cream. We also found a cool putt putt/go cart park less than 20 mins away, called Hidden Pointe. There are many wineries/breweries located in the surrounding towns along with nice restaurants along the lake. The home had plenty of sleeping room for everyone with bedrooms still left over. We spent a lot time in the wing with the pool table and dining area. Kids slept in the bunk beds and set up the wii that was available for use. Owners were in and out of their business building but we’re never a bother. We did get the pleasure of meeting Keith and Angela, they were extremely nice and a lot of fun! Thanks again for having our family!

Overall the property was nice. Very quirky though. The nicer kitchen is above a large garage for company equipment. Garage doors opened early in my opinion. 20 steps up to the man cave so not convenient to pool deck with creaky knees. Also the owner stays in part of the main house (the hallway is blocked by folding screen, very odd) and can randomly show up with knocking to go to the basement. Not the privacy I look for when renting a house.

Great Place to Stay
My wife, 3 children, 2 spouses, 4 grandsons (ages 1-6) and I stayed 5 days. The place was clean and well maintained. There are a lot of pool toys, the owner was helpful and raised the pool temp for the little kids and couldn't have been more cooperative. The pool is beautiful. There are 3 areas for sitting around outside after the kids go to bed. Since the and his wife live in an east wing of the house you do see them at times and they do need to use garages etc for their business. However it is never an issue as they are only around a few minutes. The driveway was great for teaching our 4 yr old to ride his new bike and the yard was large enough for the adult men to shag flies and the little guys to take batting practice. The place has TV's in every room, top quality appliances from coffee pot to convection oven. They spared no expense. One of our favorite things about the place is all the signs with cute sayings (Example: Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden") Loved the place and hope to make it back every year or 2.

Great location and spot
Tons of room and a huge pool that the kids loved. Quick drives to large parks and beaches. All around a great spot if you want a large private space with a pool that is close enough to places like South Haven.
