"I recently stayed at the Mercure Hotel & Spa. Overall, I had a pleasant stay, with a few areas that could be improved. The spa facilities were very good and were definitely one of the highlights of my visit. I also want to thank the night staff, who were friendly, welcoming, and kindly offered me a complimentary breakfast, which I really appreciated. On the other hand, I found the bed less comfortable than expected, and the air conditioning wasn’t very effective. The carpet in the room also seemed a little dirty, so I felt more comfortable wearing slippers throughout my stay. The breakfast itself was enjoyable, but I was disappointed that it finished at 9:30 am. Extending it until around 11:00 am would make for a much more relaxed experience, especially for guests who want a slower morning. Overall, the excellent staff and spa made my stay enjoyable, but improvements to the room comfort and cleanliness would make the experience even better."

"Staff and room were lovely and the breakfast was excellent. Comfortable bed. There's some design flaws, for example you can't fill the kettle up at the sink without the water coming out as you try to extract it. Nothing major though. It's not that pet friendly. It would have been nice to have a drink in the bar but that would have meant leaving the dog in the car so we went somewhere else for a drink."

"A large Holiday Inn in the countryside around 10 miles from Leeds. Free outside parking but on a steep hill so had to haul loggage up the steps. Well laid out traditional Holiday Inn; booked in quickly. Standard room with Aircon and usual facilities. Had evening bar snack meal which was good. Dodnt have time to try the amenities. Overall a higher end 3 star hotel"
