"In the heart of Little Venice and very walkable to restaurants, museums and parking. The half-timbered hotel is quaint with unique hallways and rooms including beamed and sloped ceilings. On the third floor, our particular bathroom was a bit difficult to navigate with a sloped, beamed ceiling and only an open garden with handheld shower wand. It made for interesting mornings when getting ready for the day. I suggest asking about shower/tub facilities in the room you may choose. Although breakfast was very good we were disappointed in the one evening meal we had at the hotel restaurant. It seemed service was dysfunctional at best."

"The James has a great location and a great team. Their underground parking is very convenient, but is not suitable for large cars. Smaller cars have no problem. Staff was great, the room was a real treat, well appointed and very clean. Breakfast was super, too much to take in, but very well presented."
